You talk about techn ology changing rapidly, then you talk about about upgrading the xbox often.
I dont know about you, but id rather spend the extra money that way and get a new xbox more often, than fork out the cash for a ps3 and ride that thing for like 10 years.

as 1080p being a pipedream, I didnt mean it wasnt possible on the ps3, I meant to go 1080p you have to sacrafice visuals.
This wasnt an attack on the ps3, was just saying that most people will drop the resolution to get better details.

Id be curious to see how some games look in 480p on those systems. I have to agree with microsoft on 720p being a sweetspot. 1080p is a pipedream.
Dosnt matter howfast the cell is, thats dependent on the gpu, and the ps3 gpu cant do 1080p resolutions and keep the same level of detail.

Umm I did watch it in HD at gametrailers, and there is still no difference.
When it shows the closeup theres a slight difference, but nothing mind blowing.

Even if it was a sony farm with a bunch of linked ps3 (seems kinda stupid. Why not build a server with a couple of cells in it?), its not like that adding more cells is going to make the game look any better.
And the thing I dont get about this story is that each ps3 is only using 1 spe? How is that showing off the power of the cell? linking 3 ps3s together is basically like the 3 cores in the 360 with a bunch of spes not being used.

Seriously not to bash on the ps3 but anytime I hear the phrase "harnising the power of the cell" or anything equivalent it just gets under my skin.
To my point the cyber world powered by all the networked ps3 is pretty much out of the question.
