Umm, amazon is a good site to watch for trends and, right now, the 40GB PS3 is being outsold by the 80GB w/ motorstorm pack.
Probably more financially feasible for MS to just secure exclusive titles from these devs than to actually own any of these studios. And MS will throw more $ at these studios than Sony/Nintendo as well..not to mention the sheer amount of software sales from the 360 compared to the other consoles obviously make the 360 a more preferable choice for publishers and developers.
It was a small surge, what exactly did you expect? Oh well, where it counts in this industry, SOFTWARE, all the Sony fanboys seem conveniently forget that they are in MAJOR trouble. I would be willing to bet BR movies see a major bump as well, but we are talking about GAME CONSOLES here right?
I will believe it when I see it. Sony has not yet convinced me to drop the $ with the PS3 as of now.
I guess the Xbots should let the Sony fans get away with this one and brag a bit...afterall, how many times have the tables been turned and Xbots rubbed it in the face of Sony fans when a game came out on 360 first and PS3 months down the road?

Also, do any of you really believe that UT3 is going to move PS3 hardware units? Not very bloody likely.
Just like Unreal Championship moved SOO many Xboxs and was such a platinum seller

Hate to say it and I know I will get a zillion disagrees but the Unreal series has sucked since after the original UT.
UT3 looks so insanely FAKE due to all the rediculous lighting tricks and detail yet, the gameplay is still the same as it was with UT1. BORING.
Dumb weapons, lame character design, nothing new about this title.
The UT series has always been the worst of all multiplayer FPS series.

That was actually pretty cool...the Tetris theme was the best part IMO.
Single player, Galaxy has it in the bag...TF2 for multiplayer goty by far
Maybe Sony should have kept to it's deceitful ways of showing nothing but CGI cinemas in it's commercials.

Like it or not, the average Joe Schmoe consumer recognizes "HDDVD" over "BLU RAY".

And that's the last of the 2007 supposedly killer PS3 AAA apps...could the Sony camp please explain all of these 8.5 out of 10s? Where are the console-selling quality titles?!
Oh, that'z right...according to EVERY PS3 FANBOY ON THE INTERNET, any PS3 owner simply MUST already have a 75" 1080p HDTV already...along with a DUAL QUAD-CORE PC with 16 GIGZ of RAM, and 4, yes, 4 8800's for graphics, so when games like Bioshock are stuck on 360 and PC it won't matter because ... the PC version is ALWAYS better.
This is weird because if you're smart enough to know how to use DIVX then you should be smart enough to use or at least have heard of TVersity. I've been using it to convert movies from DIVX to XB360 movie format on the fly ever since I got a 360. TVersity works with Wii and PS3 as well. I guess this is great for people who's PC sucks and can't convert movies on the fly.
I hope all those that were holding out for a PS3 version will pick up the PC or 360 version...it really is an incredible game.
Yea it is, and what's even more weird is the XB360 arcade unit is selling HORRIBLY. It's ranked 238th right now
But @ the same time, software-wise, PS3 sucks...they have 1 game in the top 25 (AC) and yet 360 has 5.
