Microsoft only owns publishing rights to the first Mass Effect game, they do not own publishing rights to the name "Mass Effect" so any sequels are a free for all.
Microsoft does own publishing rights to the name "GeOW" as well as the 2 game deal, so GeOW 3 is likely to be a 360 exclusive.
However loopholes are always possible, and also risky.
EA wants all their games to be multi platform. Sure it'll come off as a huge steal for the PS3, but the huge steal all started the moment Bioware was bought out by EA.
As far as being multi platform; EA is a successful enough company and doesn't need MS payouts the way Bioware did. I also suspect that EA is stable enough to not flinch when MS shouts out buyout threats (I know it happened once already). They are going to be their own company so get used to it.
You can still get Left4dead 2 for P.C.!!!!!
Actually, The first Mass Effect is over rated. KOTOR is a better game if you like the shooter rpg style.
That set aside, EA's business strategy involves making nothing but multi-platform games and making them graphically identical on two consoles that are perfectly capable of displaying identical graphics (with the help of competent game developers). Because Natal is more an overdeveloped Wii ripoff than an innovation. I'm tired of Sony and Microsoft attempting to dip into other markets. Remember 360's shortly lived jrpg phase, excellent games that were wasted on a fan base that could care less while alienating the fanbase they should have focused on. Why focus on copying each other instead of looking into the next big thing instead???

Every price drop takes a console closer to the end of its life cycle. If Microsoft drops the 360's price by 50 bucks, releases Natal and doesn't counter the PS3's momentum then I'd expect them to cut their loses and drop out.
So the legend goes that VGChartz was started by a xbox 360 fanboy who smudged numbers in the favor of the 360.
Maybe its true, but nowadays I question the validity of these accusation due to the fact that these numbers are not far off from actual sales figures. Some people will never open their minds to these figures due to the haunting legend, but close sales figures is close sales figures. I think VGCartz deserves a little credit for once on this site.

Yes Microsoft should put in the word "Halo" somewhere in all their games. Then Microsoft could make 150 dollars per game and 60 dollars per dlc / expansion pack. Just imagine how much money they would rake in as they satisfied these "tools" of G4TV.
I can't help but think that Natal will be about as successful at securing casual gamers for Microsoft as their paying for jrpg's was for securing the Japanese market.
I can see hard core gamers, most notably the xbox 360 supporters, being excited for Natal but I do not see it's release expanding Microsoft demographics much at all.
From a price point of view, casual gamers are going to think that Natal is an over developed attempt at copying the already successful Wii...
