On topic;
1. If I were a 360 only user; I would end up reluctantly paying 100 per year but start looking for excuses to buy a PS3 / start hating lives new features that come with a price.
2. If I owned a PS3 and 360; I'd slowly start shelving the 360 and buy all multi-platform games for the PS3 / no enthusiasm for lives new features.

Demon's Souls deserves to be that high up on the list. It has game play that is hard first, but will end up blowing you away if you figure it out. I'd still keep Oblivion at the top spot simply because of its size and scope. The amount of quests and details in the world are amazing. However, I do prefer Demon's souls combat system and battle sequences.
I think you are afraid that U2 is going to increase PS3 sales leading into the holidays beating out your precious 360. Why else would you be trolling? Face it, Sony is on the rise!!!

Demon's Souls gets good after you defeat the first boss. That is when the RPG elements start to fall into place. This game is hard, but I also think that is what makes it so good. People that figure out how to play this game will definitely enjoy it. However, if you are looking for an interactive movie rather than a challenging video game than you should look for a something else.
If you want a real action RPG play Demon's Souls. Mass Effect is for amateurs.
What is there no longer a toaster demand in Japan?
Not quite the 300,000+ we see with jrpg's there, but I think this is about as much of the western culture as you will ever see enter into Japan.

Turn 10 and Microsoft may have helped create this PS3 fan base backlash, they made the a bad decision at targeting and scrutinizing GT5. If you've been paying attention then you'd notice many articles illustrating Turn 10's attempts to roll over GT5 in a not so classy way to get itself attention. PS3 owners are just venting their frustrations and I think they have grounds for it.

Your right, Mass Effect is over rated. While the graphics and story are good, the game play sucks. Maybe it's o.k. for people that find normal rpg's too complicated or for people that prefer shooters and are able to ignore the usual complicated features of a rpg. But even by doing this the interactive world / supposed cities feel very limited and bogged down. This game is definitely amateur from a rpg perspective.

that is 500,000 pre order sales in the U.S. as of September 11th, one month ago, meaning VGChartz is WAY off.

Yet VGChartz lists MW2 360 sales @ 1,653,246 vs. U2 sales @ 297,004. There is no way U2 would be the number one seller on Amazon and ahead of MW by that much if pre orders are really that much in favor of MW2. Pre orders at least have to be closer than this data suggests because Amazon is never off by that much.
