love the concept, though i hate the form factor, it should be pocketable. With that size, you need something to carry it and in that case you could opt for a notebook instead. Pc Gaming streamed on the go while using your current steam games is amazing, and i have lots of games already with my steam account from day one. Many Android games like shooters will play a lot better, and probably Nvidia will make many devs commit to the platform, besides many ios games would arrive to Android for th...
For me 30 fps is perfectly fine, if in exchange they get more eye candy in the game, go for it
I really want the steambox to succeed. PC games are cheaper than consoles, not counting with the mindblowing sales on Steam, and I'm sure they can build a great computer to play everything with just stock components at a great price.
The big problem with the PC gaming industry has always been digregation. It has way too many configurations, cards, cpus, etc, so it's a customer support hell. Steambox will help unify this so that developers have a single platform to targe...
I hope it gets here, looks beautiful
Also DOA5, lots of announcements in less than a month
yay more games!
Exactly.
The wall of text is strong with this one.
I don't know if the Wii U has great specs or not, what I know is that all games look meh. When Xbox 360 launched, it had games like Kameo, Project Gotham Racing 3 or Condemned that looked amazing in comparison with Xbox1 and PS2, but Wii U games look average in comparison with current gen. Where's the equivalent graphic jump if the Wii U is so powerful? I don't see it anywhere.
Also, I remember they said the Wii...
I think the Wii U is going to be the biggest error on Nintendo's hardware life, my reasons:
1) Incredibly low specs, akin to current gen. Nintendo has always done this, but this time it's even worse since this is the longest console cycle we've seen, so in comparison they are more low specced than ever, so on the long term, it will shorter the life of wii u significantly, like the wii sales have fallen off a cliff by now but years earlier.
2)This ...
amazing, for a dead console it gets new games announced almost every week, one piece, Dead or alive 5, now this, sorry haters, Vita is alive and kicking!
One point in favor of this game being possible on Vita, other than a full MGS4 demo running on Vita when it wasn't developed for it, is that even though graphics look incredible, all environments are really small, just small empty rooms, hallways with very few details, the kind of low geometry that with good shaders and lighting could look this good on Vita. Ground Zeroes is impossible due to it's expansive environment, but Phantom Heroes, not so much. For example, look what the 3ds w...
Also remember how xbox1 was laughing stock for the gaming industry, but MS supported the brand and look how's Xbox360 now. If you want to survive on the gaming industry you have to think long term, and Sony will no doubt support the Vita. Sooner or later prices will fall, user base will grow, and suddenly the Vita is attractive for developers and great games will arrive.
amazing! 60 fps as it should be, cant wait to get this game
I have a hard time thinking why you're talking Bioshock Vita on a DOA5 thread. Oh, trolling of course, sorry, keep it going.
Amazing news, one of the best fighters of this gen now for Vita, who said we have no games lol! Now I can only hope it has cross play that would be the icing of the cake.
I'm also surprised this is coming early 2013 even though we knew nothing, it must be really easy to develop for Vita if they can port it so fast, and makes me wonder what new games may be unnanounced yet and still coming soon
The 3d glasses for omni would render the wii u outdated, you could have all the extra info of the tablet without having to be constantly looking up and down, better tech, better multiscreen concept, and hopefully the can output all video signal on the glasses so you can play on your own while someone else watches tv, I can't wait.
Also the omnicloud would be mindblowing, being able of play any ps2 / ps3 game on the go would be crazy, if they make it work with 3g, you sudden...
Yes, the Vita is alive! It's such an amazing console, and now with PS+ it's just too good to be true, in the end the Vita will do fine, just like the PSP before it, all consoles have a difficult first year (better not start talking about 3ds first year and the $80 price cut, I paid $250 at launch stupid me). Besides next year we're getting tearaway, killzone, phantasy star online 2, final fantasy X, ninja gaiden 2 sigma, soul sacrifice, oddworld strangers wrath, tales RPG, god ea...
So your argument is basically "yeah but Vita sucks!". Brilliant Wii U defense.
The thing is that current generation has lasted for so long that next gen consoles should give a tremendous graphical upgrade in comparison, considering they are 7 year old already, so it's going to make Wii U games look prehistoric in comparison.
The key question is, will it get exclusive games for it? Its an unified mobile platform, quite powerful and with real controls, probably the big reason mobile games are quite dissapointing overall. I see no reason for it not to get games from big publishers, and so I really hope it succeeds. Besides it could be the first portable to make dreamcast and ps2 emulation possible.
