Wait, this is ACTUAL open world?? I thought it was semi open with each mission being open. I'd be very surprised and happy if its completely open like Farcry and would be thoroughly impressed.
Siren was one of my most anticipated games on PS3 and I finished it twice! Great game and perhaps the first game to do episodes. If you like survival horror than a big yes to this game! Totally try it!
Word! The visuals are extrordinary. That maybe one of the reasons I keep playing because the visual design is amazing. stage design with the invisible walls could be clearer by today's standards but that's forgiven, it just reeks of great ol school horror gaming. I'm also loving it though I'm still on chapter 3. Its not a triple A title so far but its great fun if you're into the genre.
On a note, my game was also super slow with frame rate dipping badly b...
Thoughts to the family
Sounds like Gies is uncomfortable having a gorgeous booty swinging in his face.
Uhm.. what's the problem with a bad ass protagonist that has lots of sex appeal and flaunts it confidently? As far as I see it, Baynoetta is a feminist.
I like the guns to be big on my screen. Feels closer to the barrel and shot which increases immersion.
Shut up, Pach.
I agree. I've spent so many hours with it and the more I play it the more I fall in love. It looked similar to last year's but every single thing is tightened and last year's complaints are all gone for this one. Running a team on offense is absolutely beautiful. I run teams like they would in real life (Raptors run horns) and the AI teammates improvise sometimes with backdoor cuts. Its really fantastic! I'm loving it and can't stop playing it.
The gameplay is sublime. Way better than last year's but on a surface level can look the same.
I can't attest to online yet.
For basketball afficionados this is bar none the best basketball game I've ever played. And I've played them since Live started (94?) and NBA Jam days. If you're into controls and gameplay there is no question this is king. I run teams with plays that run smooth as butter and players react according to what the D gives them such as back door cuts. The movement is so natural now and with very little to complain about compared to last year; which was amazing but definitely had lots ...
To me, its a balance of whats more important, timing and precision or immersion in cinematic experience. I played Last of Us in 30fps instead of 60 because it just felt more cinematic. 60 feels cheap. However I most definitely think racers and fighters require split second timing for perfection as every frame counts. I can almost count every frame in a jab in Tekken, it's all about window of opportunity to get an attack in.
Saying that, I think I'd prefer MGS in 30. I...

Bad guy? There is no bad or good when its competition. These are competitors, this is the equivalent of trash talking in sports. How come that is praised and this is judged? Let them duke it out and you vote with your wallet. That's capitalism.
Come on people! It says in space!
COLONY WARS!!!!!!

Great honest review. I love this game but also appreciate a personal gamer's view on it. I'm pretty advanced in the game but I can't say its perfect and the controls have so many moves I sometimes wonder how people can just pick it up and play if they are new to the game, let alone new to basketball. As much as this game is hailed for its controls, and I've mastered them, I don't think they are as simple as they should.
Everyone is confused as to what GG means by lag. I know when KZ2 was released there was a big delay from button press to visual response. It was weird then then they patched it within a week if I recall. After that, there was still lag but I thought it was perfect. It was a slower more deliberate game that required more strategy and patience. It was not a twitch shooter like COD (which I got tired of already). I LOVED LOVED how the gun has follow through animation and if you're constantly...
So no one had a problem with the violent scenes of torment in the trailer but everyone is up in arms because of a woman wearing a bikini out of context?
Maybe I'm blind but I felt MGS went too far with the realistic depiction of torture and this didn't do much for me. In my opinion, our standards are whack.
The females in MGS games have character, so do the men, its equal. Just because a character is sexualized doesn't mean sexism. There's a t...
