I cannot believe the sour attitude of some of the PS3 fanboys. Fallout 3 is my favorite game ever (just above Mass Effect). I own a PS3 and 360 and like every game that comes out for both systems, I bought the 360 version. I loved the game even before I knew DLC was coming out and then one day the first DLC showed up on Live and only then did I look further into the game and see 3 DLCs announced total at that time for the 360 and GFW. So when they thought that the DLC was 360 exclusive, the f...
Why wouldn't they just photoshop it if they were going to make up such a big lie? I mean seriously, things are released early all the time by stores that are clueless. I have bought items at Best Buy early. Three weeks seems a little early. Do the stores really get the games in that early just sitting around in storage room? Specialty video games stores seem awfully small to have the space in the back room to store 200 copies of a game for three weeks. I figured they came in the Thursday or F...
I thought I was cool buying the boxed set of Rocky on DVD the Sunday before the release date as well as the Simpsons Movie on bluray. Both early at Best Buy, btw. But this is pretty cool that a game is out 3 weeks early. I didn't realize they even shipped to the stores that early. I figured maybe the Thursday or Friday before the release on a Tuesday. They should release it sooner now that it is out there. I cannot even find a review on it yet (not that I looked that hard). These early fetche...
It is totally obvious that it is national pride. Microsoft is an American company and Sony is a Japanese company. They are supporting a domestic video game system. Just like the "Made in America" stuff that is pushed upon us here in the US. But I'll bet the Japanese have a higher level of national pride than we do here with a country so divided all the time.
I cannot stand the current president and you couldn't stand my guy during the last 8 years. We are constantly di...
I think it is because of all those games, God of War III is on everybody's mind in anticipation of the game coming out at some point, hopefully soon. The other ones shown either have recent games out or not as much excitement for their game coming out soon. GOWIII is expected to sell like hotcakes. I'll buy it. I am still finishing the first game and have GOWII on my to play list and it is sitting on the dusty shelf. So I am in no rush for GOWIII.
I am a 33 year old gamer and pretty much grew out of Mario. It is a toss up if he should be on the list to me because at least Nintendo mixed it up a little and created Wario and the Mario based games are probably the most diverse from each other of any series. You have the standard Mario Bros (Before Super Mario for you young kids) with the platforms, turtles, crabs, etc, Mario from Donkey Kong the original, etc. Then you have the Super Mario world of course but then they have put him in Sma...
While I do like God of War, I am sick of hearing about him. So he belongs on the list.
On the other hand, I DO NOT feel Master Chief belongs on the list. I never really felt over saturated with him. From playing Halo with my wife offline to playing Halo 2 online multiplayer and to Halo 3, I never felt badly towards Master Chief. If he is so overrated, why are they making a movie about him? I am pretty sure the Halo movie is supposed to be about the Master Chief, and I know most ...
My biggest complaint with fallout 3 was that you couldn't kill kids. Especially that little brat running Little Lamplight.
I almost bought Crackdown for the beta purpose, but thought better of it and passed. I didn't need in tat bad.
While we can all find a title or two (or three or four) to fill in the gaps in our collection, by the time we get to the store, all the good ones will be gone. Best Buy is infamous for having plenty of new releases and empty spaces behind the little alphabetical markers of older titles. I would suggest anybody check store availability online before getting to BB and being disappointed. But you better race over there and grab it fast before somebody else does if you see it in stock! They may o...
Article says, "It is almost the half point in the year and very little has been revealed for 2009"
Since when is 3.5 almost half of 12? (Jan is 0 full months, Feb is 1 full months, March is 2 full months, etc..) It is the 4th month, after completing the third full month, hence 3.5
It is not even the halfway point of April yet. In fact, we haven't even reached the 1/3rd of the way through 2009, which will come April 30th, at the close of the fourth month. Th...
how could anybody possibly disagree with my comment. I said I don't want GOWIII to overheat my unit. Disagreeing with that could only mean you have no problem with GOWIII overheating your unit and starting a fire.
Let's get real, there is nothing in my above comment to disagree with. The agree/disagree function of this site is the worst "feature" I have ever seen on a comment forum. When you are dealing largely with immature teenagers and mature adults at the same time...
As long as they don't break my bluray player with GOWIII, it's all good. I don't want the darn thing to overheat and start a fire trying to play GOWIII.
brass knuckles....
not sure what states they are illegal in but I grew up in Michigan in the 80's and early 90's and lots of kids had brass knuckles. As an adult I live in Florida and I have seen them at flea markets and maybe even at gun shows. I know I have seen them around other places too.
They should be illegal to use, but not illegal to have on your person or at home. I could kill somebody with a butter knife, but I am allowed to walk around town with one in m...
Is it called Halo ODST or Halo 3 ODST? I thought it was just called Halo ODST. But it doesn't really matter, it looks fake. Not that there is anything to see, but it looks fake. The "ODST" font doesn't look right. Even if it is real, it must be a slow news day when a menu makes the news.
This article is kind of pointless. What is the point? *yawn*
@farsha2008-
Just curious as to why you liked Halo 2 better than Halo 3?
Was it the horrible ending of the Halo 2 campaign you adored? Which made the top ten of worst endings for a video game of all time. Halo 3 on the other hand had an excellent ending.
Or was it the Halo 2 multiplayer you liked better. While I liked the game a lot at the time, it was spoiled and tainted with online cheating and network manipulation that ruined night after night of pla...
darkrides-
it isn't about game sales vs bluray. it is about the fact that only 6% of PS3 owners bought killzone 2 and somebody said bluray had something to do with that and I agree. even if only 5% of 1,000,000 systems sold didn't buy games (like the blu-ray only crowd we speak of), that is 50,000 less peope buying games. So the pool of game buyers is only 950,000. 6% of total owners bought Killzone 2, including that of the bluray crowd that aren't even buying games. A PS3 fanboy...
Morbius420 said "I may be an Xbox 360 fan
but I see no logic in your comment. You can buy a stand alone blu-ray player for less than a PlayStation 3 so why would you use one just for watching movies?"
In 2007 and early 2008, PS3 was priced at $500-$600, which made it the cheapest bluray player at the time. Stand alone players were $1000 or more at that time. So many of us bought the PS3 as a bluray player. We are not talking about today (spring of 2009).

Wow.. this one is really going to be bad. I'll pass.
If the fanboy publication of Nintendo gave this "masterpiece" a 8.0, it must really be a 6 or 7. I find that I get so bored so fast with so many games that are given even an 8, that reviews only serve as the most basic guideline for whether I even give it a chance. And then, it is hit or miss.
But having that said, I subscribe to Playstation Magazine, Xbox Magazine, and Game Informer. The PS and 360 mag...
