I didn't buy my Resistance Fall of Man in a bundle and I didn't "not go back for the sequel." I bought mine around the time part two came out and loved it so much I ran out and bought part two (opposite of what you are suggesting). Unfortunately, part two was not as good as the first one, but I couldn't wait to get my hands on it after loving Resistance Fall of Man.
I am surprised at the number of people that found Resistance 2 superior to Resistance Fall of Man. Granted, I played them pretty much back to back, so maybe I was burnt out on it. But I thought the second one was inferior and certainly not one million times better as some have suggested.
This reminds me of my love for "Bulder's Gate Dark Alliance" and the let down I felt playing "Dark Alliance 2."
Sometimes a game is so great that an otherwise go...
Just curious if you have actually played everything on that list. I haven't and I assume most haven't. It is fine to disagree with the Star Wars Lego game because you enjoy it but unless you have truly played every one of the other games it isn't fair to say you agree with the list. You cannot agree with something you haven't played. My apologies if you have played all the other games and I am mistaken. But that would include all Tony Hawks. And who would keep playing Tony Hawk games if they ...
Resistance is one of the best games I've played on the PS3. Putting it on this list is just stupid. In fact, would go as far as to say Resistance Fall of Man is better than Resistance 2. I play a lot of PS3 games like MGS4, Killzone2, Infamous, Uncharted, and even the classic PS2 games like God of War 1/2. But I'd say Resistance is one of my favorites. He says it feels dated at launch but I bought it right before the launch of Resistance 2 and it didn't feel dated then (much later). I bought...
I can't figure out how to clear the cache now. He puts in a long command for doing it, and I cannot figure out where to enter that in. Anybody know?
*yawn*..... time to get off the computer and go back to playing Sacred2. I'm sleepy now.
As a computer professional and reader of PC Magazine until they went digital only, I've always hated John C. Dvorak. He is a moron. Not because of this article specifically at all, but he is just an idiot. All of my peers over the years thought he was a douche too. I've never met anyone that said they like his ramblings. Nobody does.
The real prejudice in the game is against zombies in general. This game portrays zombies as brain eaters and creatures that want humans dead. Zombies have rights too, and here we have all these games painting them out as monsters!
Sound stupid? So does calling Left4Dead racist against blacks because some of the zombies are black.
Racial quotas and affirmative action should be a thing of the past. People should be selected by their qualifications, not the color of t...
I was the opposite of this article. I owned 360... actually two (one for each HDTV) and I wanted to try a PS3. I got an insane 18 month no interest financing deal and bought the $600 unit (plays PS2 games, which some of the newer ones don't). My original intent was to have a Bluray player and $600 (for the PS3) was the cheapest Bluray player at the time (2007, stand alone units were $1000) so I got a PS3. I own and play games for it and buy exclusives for it. But I am a 360 player who should ...
I use Live and PSN. Live is a lot more polished and better for many reasons. I pay for three Live accounts each year. One for my wife, my oldest son, and myself of course. No problem doing so. If PSN was as good as live (and the games were as good) I wouldn't mind paying for PSN too.
I am not a fanboy of either system. I also own a wii but admittedly enjoy both the 360 and PS3 over the wii. The wife prefers the wii for her games.
That is a cracksmoker's list.
Elevator Action, Joust, Paperboy, GnG? Are you serious?
I have played many far worse games on multiple platforms.
Am I the only one that owned a Colecovision? Colecovision was better than Intellivision and Atari and the best system in the early 1980s. It had great games like Donkey Kong (which came with it), Mouse Trap, Venture, Ladybug, and even unauthorized versons of Qbert and Frogger. But, I bring it up because I woul...
Cute or ugly, it doesn't matter. If it was a guy we would not be saying he is cute or he is ugly. She is a gamer, look at her like a gamer. I realize the story wouldn't have even been put out there if it wasn't for her being a girl gamer that is attractive, but it is really irrelevant. I know many female gamers (including my wife), although they are not as good as this girl.
But the viewpoint appears to be "Oh, you got owned by a girl!" OK, well, if the girl's football...
Time for a Mame game of Michael Jackson's moonwalker.
I am not a fanboy of either system. I own and play both as well as wii. I bought Infamous and have played four or five hours of it. It is nothing special and sort of boring. I'll finish it, as it isn't bad. But it certainly doesn't steal anything from the 360.
Either that or a lot of fanboys of the PS3 will break down and buy a 360 and enjoy both systems like a true videogame fan. Why be a fanboy? Just enjoy a game no matter the system. You are going to stop playing a franchise you enjoy because you cannot get it on the PS3? That is just foolish and stubborn.
There is more to it to just "porting it over" from one system to the next. There is a ton of time and money involved (licensing fees, which were cited in the article included). Maybe you also missed the part that they are bleeding pretty badly when it comes to Sony.
As far as you thinking MS just cut Activision a big check to go 360 exclusive, I don't think that is the case at all. Believe it or not MS as a whole is hurting like the rest of the economy to an extent. Th...

I see what you are saying about PC as best in multi-platform games.
For me, I love games like Civ IV (recently) and the Sim City games (back in the day) on the PC. It isn't for lack of good gaming computer systems, as my house is full of tons of computers. I am an IT guy and there is something about getting off the computer, which is work, and sitting in my Lazyboy and playing games on my choice of three consoles. This is also why I for one am not a fan of ...
I own all three consoles, many PC games, a DS and a PSP. If a game is available on multiple platforms, I always buy the 360 version. The 360 is just more fun and the multiplayer is polished and all around better. I am not a 360 "fanboy" as I own all three systems like I said. I play all three systems. The 360 just has a lot going for it. You fanboys of the PS3 can get mad at Activision and click "disagree" on my post all you want, but a TRUE gamer is not glued to one syste...
Agent-X, Halo 4... God forbid you make a mistake. That isn't allowed here. Orange-Skittle might get mad and call you an idiot. He never makes mistakes. He is perfect. So don't you forget it.
As a computer professional with a successful business supporting residential-medium sized business customers, with a background in larger WANs previously, I always advise a fresh install anyway when upgrading to a newer OS. Heck, I generally reformat and do a fresh install of my own computers every six months to a year anyway. Whether I am reloading an existing Windows or going to a new version. Of course I'll do the same going from Ultimate 64 bit Vista to 7. I don't care what anybody says. ...
