Honestly and objectively the sales no longer effect which system gets more games because everything is either multiplatform or 1st party.
Sales mattered early in the generation and if one dominated the other one then things would turn out like "PS2". Right now bragging rights is the only thing on the line right now. Once PS3 overtakes 360 sales next year, sales won't matter anymore for this generation.
This isn't where I want gaming to go to. Until there's better technology I hope Onlive fails.
If they have just recently moved Ryse Nexbox, the game won't come out until late 2013. This doesn't really indicate how early the Nexbox is going to launch. Nexbox is a day 1 purchase for me even at $600.
Because they would have to be third place for an entire generation, and lose money. They also have no experienced 1st party developers that have worked on a dedicated handheld machine.
They can't do it this generation because it the games would look like crap.
Opinion doesn't make it right. You have to have a legit reason and it must be justified.
Nintendo is the greediest of the three console holders. They are too cheap to compete on the technical side so they try to throw gimmicks to make a fast buck. I will say no further.
Hey if you steal you gotta be at least somewhat smart about it. You can't hide that many games into that little clothes. Anything more than two games would be sketchy.
They need to get this right for next generation. I think next generation is when we will see multiplayer games that include different gameplay genres and mechanics into one game.
3rd person multiplayer games that include platforming, swimming, shooting, spells, rpg, good graphics, and open world.
It is the "ultimate game" we can daydream of but next generation is when we will see it.
It's too early. I would be surprised to even see a CG trailer.
I think the game is basically finished. This does create a cause of concern for the quality of this game.
Actually Shok is wrong on all three claims.
PS1 and N64 both had their strong points on the hardware side. PS1 had an huge advantage in disc space and the 64 processor was stronger but the cartridge couldn't hold that much data.
Dreamcast was the weakest last generation.
Wii is strongest because it's not a current generation console. Wii is last gen. It's 2nd place behind PS2.
WiiU is last place right now with 0...
We should all just team-up and try to get Skyrim to win Game of the Year because if Zelda wins this year it's gonna be a slap in the face. Whether you're a Batman advocate, or Uncharted 3 fan you must support Skyrim to win because it is the logical choice to win Game of the Year.
If Zelda wins we will never hear the end of it from Nintendo fans. They will say graphics don't matter because 6 years going into a generation on a "last gen" console the Wii ...
It's multiplatform nuff said. Color me not interested until it's in the bargain bin.
The critics are valid and justified. The scoring system needs to be changed and not thrown out though. Because you can't force people to throw something out that has been engrained in the culture. But you can change it.
The low review scores are correct and it gives a sense of spread in what a good game is. More scores between 0-6pts need to be used and are welcomed. Use the whole god damn 10-point scale! I'm tired of 7 being average, 8 being good, 9 being great...
Gears 3 finally got the single-player story mode correct, so I give credit to where it's due. It exceded my expectations. However Gears 1 is still the best of the series because it started the legacy of it all. Gears was the first game to look "next-gen" or current gen right now.
Now as far as worst game, we don't know because we probably have never heard of it before. Us hardcore gamers or gamers in general don't pay attention to bad games. We woul...
If any of these games were able to make a leap in graphics then I would take it, but due to system limitations we're getting games that look and play the same.
The year of the PlayStation in this generation was 2009. Uncharted 2 was so good. Having experienced Uncharted 2 when it first came out, it defeats multiple games when you stack them up against it. I will take an "Uncharted 2" over three games not named COD4.
Uncharted 2 and COD4 are the best two games this generation. Not only were they amazing but the majority of games since those two games came out have copied many elements from those two games. You can't...
It's Pokemon because obviously Nintendo has almost no grasp on building an online infrastructure.
Count me uninterested until it hits the bargain bin. Exclusive franchises turned multiplatform is a turn off ie. Final Fantasy and Resident Evil.
