Bull$hit Article of the Week is the name of the column. The name of the specific article is what is shown above.

So no, its not wrong. I know because its my column, my article, and I posted it here.

Thanks man, that's what I was going for.

If you liked this one, check out my 1st BS article on ResumePlay, its called Fanboys Wanted. I pretty much mock/satirize all the ridiculous things gaming fanboys know and argue about (like how many disks FFXII has).

Where can you download the first part for free? I want to try it out.

I almost bought it a couple times, but wasn't sure if I'd like the combat and gameplay enough to warrant multiple play-throughs (cuz I heard its short and want replay value)

It's a good game already with no restrictions. I don't know why being on PS3 would make any difference.

In fact, the whole reason he made this statement is to point out that they already have no restrictions now. They can do what they want, make it how they want, finish it when they want. They're an indie, and unlike most indies they actually OWN their IP, which puts them in a great place that most indies only dream of. Even newly-independent Bungie doesn't own Halo, so they can'...

I don't think they should abandon the standard controllers. But if they do a mix, like Sony is doing with SOCOM 4 and Microsoft is doing with a lot of Natal games like Fable 3, it could be cool.

They just need to use it add new features, rather than taking away old functionality. Keep what works and build on it.

Have you tried the Blur beta?

Because before I tried it, I agreed with you. I thought this game was going to be lame, and I was TOTALLY stoked for Split/Second to come out. I'm still really excited for Split/Second, and want to see some more gameplay demos or get an actual hands-on demo.

But after playing Blur, it totally changed my opinion of it. If you read the preview, I was really really impressed with everything about the game. And most importantly, its just add...

That's exactly what I said in the preview, haha. Well, not the baby part, but about those 2 being the main influences.

Yeah I am loving the $hit out of this game. I CANNOT WAIT for the full version to come out, so I can actually do the 4-player split-screen with all my cousins and my dad and bro. We do a ton of split-screen gaming in my house, so this game is going to be pure gold for us.

The latest street racer with split-screen was Need for Speed Carbon in 2007 or ...

Well supposedly there is a full-on successor to the DS in the works, I've heard some rumors about it being in development. So if that ever comes out, I guess the DS will finally slow down.

But of course, the new handheld would just take up the mantle of success.

I wonder what the new version will feature. Will they finally combine all of DS's various features (big screen, camera, GBA slot) and versions into one ultimate next-gen DS? Time will tell...

The DS is a strange beast. I mean Nintendo has done the iterated system before with the GameBoy, but that had clear technical and graphical updates each time, and had whole new cartridges to utilize the obvious step up.

The DS versions are all steps sideways, not necessarily up. You gain a camera, but lose the GBA slot. You make a version with a bigger screen, but its also a bigger unit so it doesn't fit in kid's pockets. Various versions for different kinds of users, all on the ...

Gotta agree with Peter Molyneux here.

We can all argue till the world ends about which one will really be BETTER, but Natal is definitely going to get more attention and therefore be "bigger." It's trying something new and different (or at least that's the perception) while the Move looks just like the Wii-Mote.

Move will be perceived as the imitator, Natal as the innovator, and whether that's true or not, Natal will get a lot more press and attention. And ...

I won't be entering the 3D space for a long time, it seems. I refuse to drop $185 just for ME to watch in 3D, then need to spend $130 more for my gf or bro.

Not worth it. Not at all.

@estranged

They've already shown off what they intend to be the bundle games, and they ARE cheesy. It's like Move World and Move Sports or something, lame ass Wii-knock-offs.

And they've announced what the bundle will be, so we have absolutely no reason to suspect a two-Move kit. Sony hasn't made something like that before, and neither has Nintendo, so its HIGHLY unlikely we'd see that kind of thing here.

And yes, accessories for other systems are expens...

Ok seriously, no one is going to use a Dualshock for the subcontroller. Can you imagine how fricking awkward that would be? Your right hand will be holding a Move controller, and will be swinging and swiping around. And while you're doing all the moving, you're going to hold a 2-handed DS3 in one hand? People might try that for a day or two to be cheap, but its going to be way to uncomfortable and awkward to be a permanent fix.

The sub-controller needs to be factored in when esti...

If you're trying to get into the gaming market fresh, and want the core gaming experience AND the Move stuff, yeah you would easily rack up 800.

$300 - system
$300 - Move controllers
$165 - Additional Dualshocks
$60 - New Game

That's $825 for the system, controllers and first game. That's not counting the additional costs if you want to get a headset for online (which I have), an HDMI cable for full-quality visuals (which I have), and of course the...

Ok, I respect your right to have your own opinion, and if you like the PS3 exclusives more that's fine, I'm glad you have one so you can play them.

But to just blatantly say that all the 360 exclusives suck is just plain ignorant. They may not be your cup of tea, but the 3 games you listed are all excellent pieces of software. All three of those were well-made, polished products from some of the industry's top developers and dreamers (like Peter Molyneux).

And on a m...

Haha, its really funny that all of the Sony fanboys are getting angry on here, and that Microsoft fanboys are getting overly happy about this.

This sales news has nothing to do with Sony, its about Nintendo. Wii has always been top dog in sales, ahead of Xbox, then PS3. This means that Nintendo has slipped up (yes only for a month) and that it let 360 take the top spot. The only game in the last 3 years big enough to surpass the Wii giant had been Halo 3. But Nintendo is starting...

I've never heard Peter Molyneux say anything about space issues, so I don't know where you're all getting this from.

The reason he can't make his visions reality is because many of them aren't realistic, or don't translate into fun gameplay (like his scarring idea).

Seriously this had nothing to do with disk space or the PS3, please don't try and turn this into a console war or anything when that's not what its about.

Probably was a little of both. Things like the inventory system and map stuff might have just been too cluttered, while some features were probably just useless or extraneous, like you said.

I haven't played 2, but I'd like to at some point. Couldn't drop $60 for what I heard was a 12-hour game. Probably worth it now that its dropped to like 20-30. If 3 is better I'll give it a spin earlier.

I think the music is fine as is, but everything else sounds good. Especially having some actual voice acting and the character development. It's not the N64 anymore, the silent characters stopped being cute.

I haven't seen any comparisons yet, but this is certainly not the first FPS to use jetpacks for more interesting firefights.

It was way underrated, but 007: Agent Under Fire had jetpacks and a grappling hook that made the multiplayer maps a totally vertical, 3D experience. They added A LOT to the multiplayer, instead of it just being a run and gun it became so much more about movement, dodging and finding good positions. Best 007 multiplayer I've ever played, yes way better than ...
