Very true.
I'm playing through that game right now, and man is it a blast. Could've used a better plot and more polish, but its damn fun, and you can't argue with fun.
Energy Sword definitely belongs on the top swords list. That and the mutha fuckin Master Sword!
Despite the fact that these come out every single year, this still looks kind of enticing. It's a new setting which could be nice, and if they actually do some beta testing on the multiplayer it'd be good to get a more glitch-free COD destination.
Although I'm remembering the jungle levels from World at War, and how much I hated them, and that makes me skeptical. I'll have to see if this avoids WaW's pitfalls.
It's going to be a FANTASTIC E3, and an important one to pull it out of the slump from the past few years.
Sony
-More information and demos about Move, including more info about the hardcore games and 3rd-party games that will use it
-New trailers/demos for their exclusive titles from later in the year
-Hopefully some news about a new/upgraded PSP, to lift the system out of its slump
Microsoft

Forget Sega, they aren't coming back into the console market anytime soon. Too many of their IP are becoming less and less relevant with each passing year. When's the last time you were excited about a new Sonic game, their flagship character?
Apple's consoles are already out there, I expect to see some big i-Pad and i-Phone demonstrations.
It's also possible that EA or Activision would launch a console, Bobby Kotick has mentioned ideas to m...
Who cares if its a slot-loading drive? I think if I actually had to choose, I prefer the 360 setup, to be honest. I like the disc loading trays from my computer and DVD player better than the slot of my car's setup.
And for reliability... my 360 gets about 25-35 hours of play a week, for the past couple years. Haven't noticed any problems or performance hiccups, although I know some others have.
To be clear, my 360 did die after being hit by lightning...
Yeah that list covers a lot of the bases. If even a couple of these features were in the Wii, I might actually use our "family" system, instead of just letting my brother have it exclusively.
You make a good point about the coincidence today, kinda funny. But I planned the piece out last week, wrote it last night, and just added the pictures and published it today.
And yes, I wish it was so simple that we could just play the games and be chill about it. But drama always finds its way into our lives...
A thorough review, nicely done. I feel like that answered a lot of questions I had about how well the new plot/gameplay changes would be. I'm excited to get it this week now.
Yeah I like seeing full developer interviews like this. Keep up the good work guys
very true. and I want to try that one, partially because of its unique art style. go get me some pies.
They should be equivalent now...
Different games have different reputations.
Madden, Call of Duty or Need for Speed? Not as nerdy a reputation.
World of Warcraft, Pokemon, JRPG's? Waaaay nerdy reputation.
I think they're still nerdy, yes. But in this day and age, like 75% of all guys age 10-40 are nerdy. We all play video games, we all like to know how our computers work and be able to fix/improve them, we all spend time surfing forums, reading news online, using social networking stuff like Facebook or Twitter. All of that stuff can be considered "nerdy."
We're a society of nerds now, so yeah everyone's doing it. But the word has lost its negative connotation, because ...
I liked the interview too. Good to see the devs taking time to talk with people about the upcoming game.
Let's see some more good interviews like this one, ResumePlay!
Well I can definitely think of one... BioShock.
Some people have been comparing this to BioShock, but I'm not sure the gameplay is very similar. The setting and the graphics look similar, but this will have a different style and story. If it can be as good as BioShock, I'd be very pleased, but maybe even a few similarities will help it out.
I feel your pain man. I was really looking forward to burning away the hours playing this on 360, and my laptop can't handle the PC version.
Here's hoping they change their minds at a later date and do the 360 version. I doubt sales on PC will satisfy them, so I think eventually they'll come to consoles.
Some very interesting ideas to consider. Well written, thanks!
Indie is becoming a huge part of the game industry. Every system out there now has some kind of platform for indie game development, so its only natural that we'd see more and more of these games.
Bring on more gems like World of Goo :)
So he said it's on Xbox 360 and didn't mention the PS3 version. He never said that it was ONLY xbox, just that it's on the xbox. So... he didn't make any mistakes, what's the deal?
