The thing that keeps me from getting hyped is the shift we saw in this series and in Mass effect, away from truly deep RPG to simple accessible action gaming, along with the fact that most previews of this game seem to be focused on the action and even when talking about interacting with the world it's in the sense of results of your actions (Meaning battle tactics).
I loved Dragon age Origins for its exceptional writing and deep world to explore. The action to me often f...
The only upcoming game I'm genuinely excited for.
Sounds like a great game for the acronym enthusiasts among us.
The gameplay demo was cool and I enjoyed the wing suit action but hearing that this is a cross generation title has made me beyond skeptical.
I can handle the retread of the charismatic larger than life psycho but it's a little sad that we're clearly playing as a douche again.
They really should have shown a small snippet of proper gameplay and let us know beforehand that it was real time gameplay running on a ps4. If they had done that minds would have been blown. Even if the gameplay didn't look as good as the cutscene I bet it would look good enough to steal the entire show. By showing another teaser they've allowed the reaction to be 'okay.....that's cool but what was it? CGI? Pre-rendered?'
Well that's some good news at least. I was incredibly disappointed at the idea that hey had spent all this time working on another 2d LBP with minor improvements.
Judging by recent reveals I would imagine all game studios are either one trick ponies or too afraid to risk doing anything more than repeating the same trick. It's been creeping up on us for a few years now. Gaming ceasing to be a 'nerd ' hobby (in other words, all about ideas and creativity) and becoming just like the movie industry but I really feel like this e3 was the final knife swipe across the throat. I can't name a single game that I can't tell you exactly how it...
Dying light, it's like Dead island but with parkour! Dead Island 2, it's like Dying light but without the parkour.
I'm done.
Just call everything 'cheesy gun shooting game' and avoid all of this trouble.
I hate to say it because I've loved every LBP so far but it just isn't doing it for me. It doesn't look like a bad game but Media molecule were one of the only studios I was counting on to bring us something fresh and creative, especially after the tech demo they showed last time, how was that not a hint at the kind of 3d world building game we've been asking for since before Lbp2? More Littlebigplanet just like more Assassin's creed, more Far cry. Even the new franchises ...
That was a pretty gameplay trailer, I wonder what the gameplay looks like.
I'm not trying to be mean but if you don't actually speak English you might want to earn your living as something other than a writer of the English language.
11.30pm? No, wait.... 2389AD? I dunno, I'm just bored.
Complaining about downgrades is currently 'in vogue' in much the same way complaining about the weather becomes the fashionable thing to do during a thunderstorm.
Most people have given game demos a bit of leeway in showing us the experience they're aiming for for years now. What's so offensive about the Watch dogs debacle is that it's so obvious that was not even the experience they were aiming for, that it was a pure and simple deception.

I loooooove me some Mirror's edge don't get me wrong but I hope this year's E3 has some actual reveals that aren't just things that were revealed last year, that we were supposed to be playing already.
As for the game itself please please please don't beef up the shooter gameplay. If they've gone the other way and removed the FPS aspects of the gameplay I will be ecstatic.
A demo of a Ubisoft game means nothing to me these days. They might as well just show us a live action film about Assassins, either way we'll walk away feeling as if we still haven't seen the game they're gonna be selling us a few months down the lime.
The most fun I've had in this game is slowly walking my motorbike along the very edge of the curb and having entire crowds flee shouting 'he is a maniac' 'he is going to kill someone' etc.
I couldn't agree more with this review. Especially the part about constantly switching opinions on it. There were many points at which I'd start to think, 'You know, actually this game is quite good, it took me a while but I am starting to enjoy this' then every time, every single time some poor design choice or lack of the most basic polish would show up to frustrate me.
In that sense it reminds me so much of Assassin's creed 3. It's as if they got so ma...
So... Forgive my lack of tech savvy but... they're saying that is how the game is going to look when you're actually playing it?
I can't bring myself to believe that. Not that Naughty dog haven't been amazing before and not that they aren't the ones who could pull this off if anyone could. Just that, if that's how it actually looks when you're playing, wouldn't that make it the best looking game of all time? At least as far as character models go,...
