Uhm the last of us was a perfect balance of gameplay and cutscenes. Without a solid story you can have all the perfect gameplay you want (whatever the hell that means anyway) but without a reason to finish the game it loses its appeal in an hours time. The only thing thats a 'mess' is people always trying to find something to complain about with the evolution of gaming, even if they have to grasp at straws not unlike what you're doing now.

This and quantum break look good. Those 2 games are nowhere near enough to buy an X1, but games I would buy if there was ever incentive to buy one. With games that look this good its just that much more laughable that fanboys still only wanna jerk off to master cheif collection crap.
It's called desperation. I lived with my brother for a year and money was tight so I played his 360 a lot as a resort. Now I see why online for halo and gears were such a focal point, the single player was a waste of time.

When praising it all they can talk about is online multiplayer so its their fault that that halo sounds like a sci-fi call of duty clone. All I know is they praised gears of war and I went through the first two and im sorry they were generic trash. So I just hold my breath and hope destiny has the substance that halo just never could.
