The answer is quite obvious, they are completely reliant on halo and gears of war to be a contender. After over a decade they can only come up with two franchises that are sure hits and they will bleed them both dry to squeeze as many console sales out as they can.

Sorry but the whining on this forum is just laughable. This is an arcade racer and if evolution uses the same sort of addictive gameplay that they did with motorstorm this will be amazing. Forza and Gran Turismo get too tedious and inevitably boring way too fast with how complex they attempt to be. I couldn't miss out on golden abyss but as a once proud vita owner I gotta admit they haven't put out much incentive to buy it.
Having faith that one day there will be a GTA worth caring about doesn't make me a hypocrite, nor does it disprove the fact that the storyline in 4 and 5 were garbage

Responses to this game are so dramatic in either direction. People either love th hell out of it or hate it and the ones that hate it seem to have just expected a halo clone and resent that the game is more complex. The criticism for destiny so far is very very weak

Lol destiny is the most anticipated game of the year. Titanfall is all but completely forgotten and MCC is the pure example of a desperate double dip that is being treated as an exclusive when really its just old recycled games. Having more shooters was never a priority for sony as they pride themselves with covering every genre perfectly, more than can be said about Xbox
I live near LA and thought the same thing about los Santos, I've been to vegas plenty of times there's a huge map out there to explore
Vegas would be amazing, people forget how small los Angeles is as far as buildings go and Vegas ain't much smaller at all. And so much they could do with it, I'm already picturing burying a guy in the desert that owed money to the mob boss you work for or pushing an assassination target off the top of the stratosphere hotel.

Agreed, if they announced hd remasters of uncharted and motorstorm along with an announcement that a new motorstorm is in the works I'd be a happy camper
