Can't speak for anyone else but if networking is the only thing destroying this games reputation that means nothing to me. The more I read the more I see people actually really like this game that bought it. No excuses for the free version but I can give two craps about online gaming so all my initial skepticism is gone for this one.

Ill tell you three. Halo, gears, and forza. Three crutches Microsoft is so desperately leaning on to stay relevant. Generic shooters have kept them afloat thus far and now its catching up with them and they have no clue what to do.
Its the white Xbox one and the game bundled for free, its a no brainer that it sold out. And being that it never crossed over two different ps4 consoles in the sales numbers I wouldn't doubt that low stock was intentionally put out to present the false idea that this game is in high demand. This game is an infamous clone with silly ratchet and clank type influences mixed in, ironically the ps4 community would probably have appreciated it more.
The mario bros 2 you're thinking of was originally a game called doki doki panic that they decided to turn into Mario 2 for the American release. The original Mario 2 was only released in Japan then labeled too difficult to play and never made it to America, its an interesting read you should look it up.

Stupidest comment I've ever read. Anyone who wants a great story in a game knows to avoid open world games like a plague. If you read all the reviews about why people loved far cry 3 and GTA 4 and 5 you'll notice none of the praise had anything to do with the story or single player campaign. Because with open world games the story to it is always complete trash. If all developers start thinking like this the ps4 will without a doubt t be the last console I buy

It hasn't even been a year yet. You can't show up arrogantly with an abomination pitch like the drm policies then quickly backtrack as if to say 'no, no we were just kidding' and expect that sort of reputation to reverse in a year. It'll take time, and by the ps4 will have an extremely cozy lead and not an ounce of worry.
Agreed, only reason 2 drew more attention is because of how much of an improvement it was over 1. But in no way does that suggest that it was better than 3 because it wasn't at all.
Good god, we get it the launch was a disaster. I understand Xbox need these articles as self esteem boosters but make no mistake in the end this didn't impact a single thing. And being that both SIM and open world racers bore anyone other than enthusiasts id bet that the majority of gamers who want a racer to kill some time with will still prefer this one.

I don't think so, the hype isn't really too heavy on this game. In fact the only reason people are talking about it at all is to fuel flame wars for holiday exclusives. But if this game was multi plat you wouldn't hear a peep about it.
