Im just waiting patiently to see what all the 4k hdr fuss is all about. I bought a 55' samsumg 8500 suhd series tv over a year ago and still have yet to reap the benefits other then the 4k stuff netflix offers. Although nice, it makes you wonder how well something disc based right in front of your face will look.
I agree but i kind of felt this is what the vanilla ps4 should have been. These consoles should have hit 1080 60 from the start in 2013. Its laughable that they are just doing now. Bring me the scorpio and ps5!
Wait, what. The ps4p is over twice as strong as vanilla ps4 that can already do 1080 30 and youre saying it cant do 1080 60 with anhanced graphics ect?
And how much do you think a box like that will cost? 499 at the cheapest but im still thinking between 550 and 650. Lets say it is 499. The pro could easilly be 299 by holiday 2017 and even then most consumers dont even have a 4k set to take advantage of scorpios specs. Not it could but it will. But this is common knowledge as all consoles bottleneck eventually. Im willing to bet most*** console gamers in 2016-2018 are fine with 1080 60 anyways. Reports show about 15% of america alone has 4k sets. I cant imagine it even being 50% by holiday 2018. Whats the rush? Bragging rights? Agreed, but its almost like if so many things are amazing a somewhat mediocre controls does not hinder an otherwise 10 rated game.
Yeah at 499 i think the scorpio will do just fine but that depends how well the pro does between now and then. You can bet your ass sony will give gamers plenty of incentive to buy their products.
I believe by the time scorpio releases the pro will be 299 and 499 will most likely be the asking price for the scorpio.
My guess is that once the vanilla ps4 is 199 we will start seeing exclusives for the pro. Or games made specifically for the pro. Maybe in as fast as 1.5 years. Or at least by then devs announce that they are cooking something up for a holiday 2017
I think it would be almost ingenious to release a slim ps4 and put the neo innards inside.
The people in this thread that say sony doesnt need a slim are forgetting about consumers like me that want a 4k bluray player, hdr, and 4k upscaling. The ps3 seen 2 slims. Why on earth wouldnt sony cut costs and pass those savings on to the consumer. Its sad some of you are hoping sony doesnt release a slim and the neo is going to fail because its underpowered. Guess what, not going to happen.
900P 60 fps confirmed 😂. In all seriousness.. Im a sony pony but even i can see the benefit of this. I sold my day uno ps4 and im waiting for the 299 500 gb. Ive missed out on some great games on the other side of the fence and this is a great way for me to play catch up on ms exclusives.
They already said they will be selling the console at a profit. Meaning it will prob be a slightly more powerful console than the xb1 but sold for 400 with something gimicky like nvr or something not needed. Whats needed is power, online infrastructure, and third parties! How about we do those things first and anything noones asking for 2nd....

Still, theres much that can be improved upon in 3 years. In this day and age that is an eternity in technological advances. Dont you think sony just like ms want to release i smaller, more cost effect, hdr, 4k blu ray playing console... If you cant understand that sony has made a slim version of every console with the ps3 seeing the slim and then the super slim, you are the one that cant understand.
Ive always thought we would have not seen a new console frm sony till 2019 the earliest. After neo was confirmed i started hoping that their new slim is the ps4 neo. Even if the neo is released this fall, i know the scorpio have def made sony reaccess their options moving forward. You can bet your ass if the scorpio is a huge success we may see the ps5 as early as fall 2018.

The price will nosedive once the nx released. Hardly nobody will be buying a wiiu after the nx release date. Except for those like me looking for it in the bargain bin.
