not really, mgs2 was released on the original xbox and that didnt sell very well
Epic and MS have had a good relationship so far, can't see Gears coming to PS3. MS must have chalked up some agreement with them, if they didnt it would be silly. Nothing stopping epic from creating a new IP tho, either exclusive or multi-plat. That i would actually prefer

i think this game would have been well suited to XBOX live / PSN. I'd buy it for definate, beena big fan of the gta series since the first game on PC
i loved the first game too, loved the single player campaign more than cod4, the multiplayer was good, but got a bit repetetive after a while. Can't wait till this hits
the 360 has a 12x drive whereas the ps2 / xbox was like 2x if i remember correctly, so the 360 disc spins 6 times faster

fanboys can use that arguement till they are blue in the teeth, but as it stands the only reason that would be a big issue is if you were going to modify your console and void the 3 year warranty.
i think sony should have kept there mouths closed. If they do have some amazing stuff for e3, keep it quiet and blow everyone away on the day. If they dont have anything that fantastic for e3, then everyone will be dissapointed. Cant wait for this years e3, i hope microsoft have something great planned this year too, to have both companies flying on such a high level is fantastic for all gamers! its all good (well if microsoft actually announces anything it will be). i know what it is, its 'wii s**t', a special wii attachment that connects to your toilet seat, and trains your bowels. Expect shops to be sold out every-where this christmas
after they strip out the hd audio, and maybe re-compress the cut scenes to 720p or even 480p if they have to they may be able to squeeze it onto multiple discs. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Its going to be the lesser of the 2 releases on 360 no matter what, but its better than nothing
was colin mcrae dirt not based on the phyre engine? If its being developed for the PC then it shouldnt be too difficult to port over to the 360, and as its already ps3 compatible its win win

i dont think its possible for the 360 game to look better, unless the developers are very sloppy. All of the assets are going to the same, maybe the sound will be better on PS3 as it supports Hd audio, and its possible that some of the textures may be compressed to fit the DVD format. Anyway, who cares. 360 and PS3 both get final fantasy, its win win isnt it? Same as with GTA4, we all get a piece of the pie
sony can only give so much away for free, its good that the multiplayer doesnt cost anything to play, so why should the dlc be free as well? Killzone 2 didnt sell spectacularly (though it was far from a flop either) so the more money they make out of it, the greater chance of seeing more money put into killzone 3 and other IP's
