The discounts are not gone...You just need to go all the way to checkout before you see it now for some reason. You can still get COD: WWII and Destiny 2 with the discount. I literally just checked and they are there.
I agree. Multiplayer would make this otherwise boring game actually tolerable to play.
I refunded mine.
Not to mention it uses significantly less power. Plus the 1080 Ti still demolishes it. This is a pretty weak showing considering how late to the game this card is. It "should" be beating out the 1080 Ti, but instead it is struggling to beat the step down card (1080) that is over a year old and probably soon to be replaced with a faster card in late Q1/early Q2.
This is true if you are running 60Hz. This is not true however with high refresh rate monitors. The 2500k would greatly hold those back that are trying to get 120 FPS+ in games. That is where it matters.
Couldn't agree more. I hate what they did with the gunplay in BF1. Random bullet deviation is extremely annoying.
@NatureOfLogic_ So let me get this straight...First you say that 1080 Ti is overkill and then proceed to state that 144Hz is the new craze...Umm...If you want to run at 144Hz then the 1080 Ti is the perfect card for that. I hate to break it to you but the AMDs GPUs are trash. They are finally showing some competition in the CPU market, but the high end GPU market is something they just need to bow out of, because their high end GPUs are a joke.
Also as much as I would like ...
Actually 0Day you are wrong. The reason a 4th gen i7 is so close to a current gen i7 is because they are basically the same. Intel hasn't changed much since then and they are still running basically the same architecture with a few tweaks. It doesn't bottleneck because it is still a fast CPU. The Jaguar cores on the other hand are SIGNIFICANTLY slower than a 4th gen i7 CPU. Even an old 2500k is faster than Jaguar by a large margin. The performance per core on Jaguar is absolutely atro...
Sorry, but this is nothing more than a wishful excuse. The gaming card isn't going to come out and magically blow the Frontier Edition away because it is going to essentially be the same card with a few high end features cut out. The Titan Xp isn't technically a gaming oriented card either, but it still does and does it well. If you think the gaming version of Vega is going to come in and stomp on the Frontier Edition you are going to be bitterly disappointed. (Then again AMD GPU fans...
As @andrewsquall pointed out you are right...It looks like Crackdown. It looks almost exactly like the extremely old versions of Crackdown. That is the problem.
I agree. 3 years ago I was excited for this game...Now after seeing it I have gone from day one purchase to pass. This is one of the biggest downgrades I have ever seen and I think this game is going to flop hard. I have never been a fan of this kind of "art" style as it just seems like a lazy way to get out of making real graphics and instead make a moving comic book.
Is anyone actually still waiting for this? I gave up on AMD back in November of last year...
"We have yet to see the benefits of building dx12 into the hardware."
Yeah, yeah, yeah...We've heard it all before. ESRAM was also going to be a magical performance boost as well we just needed to wait and see! *yawn* This is coming from what was an Xbox fan, this whole wait and see marketing crap is all talk. The simple fact of the matter is they put in a flashy GPU that is still going to be held back by a trash CPU. You need 2 parts to the equation for 60 FP...
I agree with NewMonday on this one. It doesn't really matter what it costs, premium PC means just that... Premium...aka high end. A high end PC can easily do 4K 60 FPS.
@Woolly a 1060 is not a premium GPU. It is a midrange GPU.
Exactly! It has a midrange GPU, but still running a potato CPU that is overclocked slightly over the One.
Then why didn't they show multiplayer? Why show people the garbage that they did? I smell a rat.
I am going to have to agree. This game was a huge letdown at E3. They showed more of Terry Crews than they did of the game and for good reason. What little they did show looked awful.
I want whatever he is smoking. A $1,500 computer will absolutely destroy the 1X. Even though they beefed up the GPU and RAM the CPU is still pathetic. It will beat a $500 PC, but it isn't going to touch a $1500 PC.
The issue with that logic is the X doesn't have a good CPU. A $1500 computer will run circles around the X.
Mmmm you may actually be wrong there. It is still using a HDD, which will still have the same limitations in load times. Also it is actually going to be loading more because of the higher res textures.
