I agree, while the wii seems nice. It just doesn't stand out as a real competitor. I really think the wii-mote would get boring after a while. Unless of course they come out with a game where I can use it to spank some playboy bunny's ass with it. Then I'm in!

Well at least they are giving away the better console ;)

I guess all they have now is "yea but we have BR and HDMI". That'll be till the cable come out, then they look for something else to justify there purchase.

ATI's 3Dc texture compression? Pretty damn sweet to say the least.

Why would you go public and downplay it!?

How every Xbox hater always seem to add "I'm not a fanboy I have an xbox" crap. Just to make themselves look insightful.

Damn not to many people know sh@t on this site. Since when does clock rate on a GPU matter? It's all about powerful and efficient pixel shader pipelines and by the spec's on the Xenos GPU it sure as hell have what it takes.

It's funny how they keep pressing storage when in reallity all they are trying to do is slip there BR format in the market. The 1080P update is free, HD-DVD is an option MS is just trying to sell a gaming system not a HD player (unless you WANT one).

In the land of the raising sun, something weird like this could happen.

You got to give it to MS they sure are giving there fans a lot of info. This is something other console makers will be copying by this time next year. It is a great idea!

Kameo, Condemned are good games. Can't say the same about PDZ though.

You can look at it and tell it's powerful. All dressed in black, staring at you with its one blue eye all menacingly. It looked like a caged black panther ready to rip you to shreds. Truly a great PS3 cinematic event, Oscar worthy indeed.

Here's a quote: "Unusually, the two next-gen versions are being created by different developers. Sumo Digital (which is also making the upcoming PSP version) is working on the 360 game, while Sega's internal AM2 version is working on the PS3 version. Checking out the two side-by-side, we didn't notice too many differences. The PS3 game seemed sharper in certain areas like character faces, but that could have had as much to do with the televisions being used as it did anything else" ...

I was referring to what FFVII did for the PS1 this game might do it for the Xbox 360. FFVII was my first RPG this was the game that got me hooked to RPG's. And to be honest I still haven't come across an RPG that could grab me like FFVII did. I really hope this game does.

I have a feeling this will be the Xbox 360's FF VII. And I can't wait till it's here!

That article as much open as they wanted it to seem. Was really just one sided.

12GB was just a ball park figure. But you're absolutely right; textures are reused which means there could be way less texture space taken.

And new compression techniques are always around to compensate. That's why BR and HD-DVD for gaming will be obsolete in the future and all games will be downloaded. If you think you'll be downloading 22GB of data anytime soon think again. Sony themselves said the PS4 won't have a game media drive. So compression is the only way to go.

Considering it went ahead of the most available console in the world (PS2). That's just to show you how hardcore Xbox 360 owners are. With the small numbers of available 360's in EU compared to the PS2. IMPRESSIVE INDEED!!

According to the article it's around 300 Megs a level at around 40 levels for single and muti-player. That's just 12GB (more or less) of actual game play. The other 10GB or so are HD movies (including PAL) and audio for all supported languages. In other words they are making one disk for ALL regions instead of localizing individually. That's why they are taking up so much space on one disk. This isn’t rocket science people, quit giving more credit to BR than it actually deserves.
