im hoping, really hoping that what we have seen is still a pre production modle and that the retail product will improve on the grey gamepad

everything you said is true but the important thing here is the D pad works with the emulator, the previous vids i saw showed that the controls didnt work so this is minor but welcome news
the frame rate seems acceptable although i knew this would be excellent for playing emulators
now, lets see some games from the pocket playstation app
i would rather have all the controls i need on one, whole device
unbranded I.E. x10's with out carriers will get the update first

i am getting real bored of reading useless trolls comments who try and down play this PS Phone in favour of the PSP2 any chance they get, and i just dont get why, the PSP2 has its own audience and so does this, why degrade one in favour of the other?

the x10 is running 2.1 now and the playstation phone has been shown running 2.3 and in one instance 2.4

off topic, since stealth likes to repeat him self in every related thread with zero proof im gonna do the same, this is the playstation phone, it is affiliated with the playstation brand (this is actually true if you look at recent vids) and i dont no why more people dont call this the playstation phone....lol

why do you care so much about what its called? the only thing you should care about is the games/hardware/software

as i said in another post, other manufacturers may have better CPU/GPU and even bring out there own slide out gaming keypad but none of them will ever have sonys gaming power
nintendo is the only one that compete in that regard and thats if they partner up with a phone manufacturer since they have never made a phone
your probably right about the development cycle, this device looks all but finished, design and software wise
the funny thing for me is, if this was just running the tegra 2 chip and everything else was the same i doubt we would see so much hate
im still getting this day one though
even if this fails (god forbid) i think samsung, LG, HTC etc will probably try to make a similar device in the future anyway but they will never have sonys gaming...

^^^^this is pretty much it, now if sony can port psp games to this then we are on to a winner, if it only supports android games and what ever titles sony can make from scratch then it maybe in trouble
its still running a second generation snap dragon processor at 1 GHz (the G2 and desire HD only run it at 800mHz while using the came CPU)
most would still consider the first snap dragon current among other phones but saying that, they aren't aimed at gamers
i will admit that just putting in the tegra 2 chip in instead of the one above would have made this phone up to date and almost future proof, well until 2012 or 13
while i mostly agree with you i will add a few things
what we have seen may not be final hardware, although it looks all but finished SE could have something else lined up
personally, i dont care for a front facing camera so i could live without that
but i will chime in with additional storage, 512 rom means the games will have to be stored on a SD card
