it might not seem so bad to some but in a strange way it forces the player to care and understand the story

i dont recall WoW having voiced cut scenes for ALL missions/stories either, that alone is good enough, how many people just grind through a MMO and could careless about the story mostly because they have to read everything

i no a person who indeed did buy another 360 knowing full well he could get his broken one fixed for free, why would he do such a thing? he didn't want to wait for for the repair, he also gave my bro his broken 360 which he got repaired in about 2 weeks

what you said isn't really valid because like ace said, the jrpg's that the PS3 got were released far FAR later then the 360 versions
look at tales of vesperia for example, the japanese PS3 version sold more then the USA/EU versions combined, even though it was released something like a year later, and then theres FF13.......
