wow, so many disagrees makes me think that alot of people here are living in denial so, i'll be clear, the 360/PS3 is 6 years old, mobile CPU/GPUs matching it is not so unbelievable, look at the vita for proof
a bigger battery is always a option and these CPU/GPUs are more power efficient with every new variation
instead of the haters hating they need to think about how this is a GOOD thing and not really threatening
that's unlikely, the 3DS has not taken off as well as nintendo wanted, hence the early price cut, vita at 250 is a beast and a steal at the price
the specs alone mean the vita will be able to do so much more even on release day, while the future is practically limitless
the 3DS is barely a upgrade over the DS if you take away the 3D screen, it costing 100$ to make says it all

a year you say? it hasn't even been 5 months yet since the 3DS launched in most regions, this is desperation or a preemptive attack on the vita
think of it this way, i bought a 3DS, im disappointed about the software library, i contemplate selling it, then i hear that a almost 100$ price cut is coming in 2 weeks....
best case scenario - i sell it now and get a good price and if i regret selling it in the future it will be significantly cheaper
worst case - i sell it to late and get 140 max

this price drop came to early and is to steep in comparison to there other consoles/handhelds
