the future looks very interesting indeed
regarding who brought what and when, you are arguing over something no cares about or even mentioned
as for battery consumption, i was told that having 2 or even four cores running is better then 1 core doing it all, obviously more demanding games will diminish the battery further but at least we can actually play these games now
sorry patcher but the wii will always take that crown, closely followed by the ipad
i dont think the NGP would have to codenames especially when the latest one comes a few days before E3
i did not say power was the only factor, i said "and if any of the manufacturers decide to seriously try mobile gaming"
for me that includes power as well as design and games, im expecting to see more mobile phones that resemble the xperia play but are much more powerful
my real concern is what type of games we can expect, is gameloft and other mobile devs able to take advantage of the extra power and gaming buttons? or will the likes of capcom/EA/...
if cell phone gaming stays at the level we have now with only a slight bump, the NGP is safe
when we get quad core phones (they are coming this year) that have the same power as the NGP and any of the manufacturers decide to seriously try mobile gaming, there could be trouble ahead
either way the future looks interesting
also, HTC did a buy-in of onlive for 40 mil, i expect something from them soon
rockstar, where is the HD remakes of GTA3/san andreas/vice city?
GTA fans would totally eat it up, me included and its easy money for relatively easy work
am i missing something? why not just call it PSP2?
excellent!
this was always my most anticipated game, im glad its a worthy sequel
nice
but the tegra chips are supposed to be for mobile devices so i doubt the PS4 or any console would use them
it could be the same issue that samsung had with the galaxy S2
the galaxy s2 uses the exynos dual core SoC but samsung are using tegra 2's in some galaxy S2's because they could not make enough
soon enough dual core phones will be the norm, then later on quad core (which is coming this year)
"Also since NGP is solely a game console all of its resources will be spent on gaming which means that you will get much better looking games then on a phone with the same specs"
if the phone was doing gaming and stuff like web browsing/music etc at the same time you would have a point, the PS3 can play games as well as music/ web browsing etc, gaming ...
its not about multitasking, its about future proofing, the psp only has 32mb ram, sony doubled it on the PSPGO for a reason
SERIOUSLY? the 3DS only has 64mb ram? wow...
i assumed it was 512 minimum
okay...the big issue for me is the ram, if the wifi version only has 256mb thats a big fail in my book and that lower ram will catch sony out some time in the future, i can live without internal memory assuming i can use a micro SD card
funny enough i could see it being released in europe first but more likely it will go something like this
japan - europe - north america - everywhere else
the bouncer 2 could be intersting
words cant describe how happy i would be if it was powerdtone, killer instincts comes a close second
offering a slightly more powerful system would just mean they are even further behind the the next sony and MS console, they would have the price advantage but the motion control advantage would be gone, which was a MASSIVE plus for the wii
my opinion is, nintendo need a powerful console because there is nothing else they can really add to make standout
