if the features are mostly software based the price could stay lower and even stuff like wifi/GPS/3G/bluetooth are pretty cheap now and can be found in sub £100 phones/devices
using that logic the 360 would be in the same boat, as well as zune and windows phone 7....

the sony ericcson aino already does the PSP/PS3 connectivity, making another device that does the same thing but with android OS would be a little nice but the potential for a proper PSPhone with actual PSP games on it would be a huge draw sony ericsson could use

i waited for E3/GDC/Gamescon/PAX and TGS for just an announcement, not even a release date, just for someone at sony to confirm it's existence and each time i was disappointed
looking at sony ericsson this year, they have dropped the ball big time, their xperia devices were decent (hardware wise) but the software was almost two years old compared to samsungs galaxy S or HTC's phones. my point is, i hope the xperia devices didnt get the love they so badly need because...
to be honest, there is no reason for it to lack those "regular phone features"

the only thing i can think of is battery life but who really knows if that is an issue yet
having it only play minis would make it an instant fail for me, i didn't buy my PSP to play minis and i wont buy a psphone to play minis either
