i pretty much said what morgan and light said but ages ago and with this tech demo its clear for everyone to see
MS better hope they can shift as much units as possible before the casuals wise up

my view on this....it's sad that microsoft are gonna sell this when even a tech demo does not work properly, imagine a real game....
for 360 fans i hope kinect fails, only so MS can once again focus on hardcore titles
but i will say that the lack of announced hardcore 360 titles is worrying and if kinect becomes really successful i can imagine them abandoning hard core all together in favour of the casuals
the 360 fans who want kinect to do well only so they can boast about sales might want to think about this
you mention in your show that sony are pretty far in development with the PSP2
im not saying your wrong but do you have proof?
even if apple did everything right and i mean bring proper games as well as casuals game in equal amounts, have those hardcore games looking good and have plenty of them, apple are still missing buttons
i want proper buttons but not even just that, i want a psp go like slide out form factor with a D pad, nub and buttons
im guessing apple has no intention to do this so im not interested
this looked decent until combat was shown, if only it was a straight copy and paste of arkham asylum fighting with a spider man fell to it

the gaming industry makes almost as much as the movie industry, both are pirated so much (movies even more so) yet they both rake in billions a year
piracy certainly hurts but not enough people do it to the point where publishers think there is no point releasing a game/film
i've seen gameplay of infamous 2 but not but not high quality vids that show off just how much the graphics have improved
for a open world game this looks phenomenal
DS3 = dual shock 3 = PS3 controller
so yeah
your right, at the beginning sony and nintendo needed those franchise but not any more, they could both lose all the games you mentioned and be fine (mario would be a massive hit but they have others to fall back on)

we all no about the people who wait for certain games (GT5) to drop before they buy a console
i think people also do that for hacked consoles
PSPhone/PSP2 - i cant describe how badly i want this and since TGS is the last big gaming conference (not sure) of the year if sony dont at least announce the exsistance of the PSP2 i will no not to expect it any time soon, which will just suck SO HARD
TLG - apart from that trailer nothing has been shown for so long so a trailer/gameplay is minimum, at max? release date and gameplay

you would be surprised but microtransactions are often worse then just paying a sub
any worthwhile gear/loot/content will have a price tag and you will soon find yourself being nickel and dimed
it also means the player base will be unequal because those who can afford will have all the latest equipment and the poorer players are left with the stuff no one wants
why is GTA 4 even in the list?

atm gold is pretty much available to even with the price increase but a plat service would probably only be for the well off
for me there are only a few multiplats worthy of purchase
even if i was to look at whats coming up i can only say i would get vanquish off the top of my head nothing else screams quality or must get
they would have to give me a selection of full games i can download each month
(1 game per month)
but even then.....this would have to be on the PS3 since i prefer sony exclusives
i would kill for shenmue 3, it would have to be a PS3 exclusive although i would probably still buy it if it went multiplat
but for the love of god, dont westernise it, usually that just means removing RPG elements, lengthy cut scenes and content in general
