enjoy gaming on windows 7 phones, no button layout for gaming, microsofts lack of gaming studios, a lack of 3rd party
all you have got is xbox live integration which isn't great with no games
the current PSP only has a 300 and something mhz processor so it does not matter if the psphone wont use all of the 1Ghz, besides, most android phones can be over clocked if you really care about the clock speed
not everybody cares about specs or having the latest CPU etc, the leaked specs are up there with the latest smartphones in fact its actually better with it's 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 which i no is very powerful (i'm very into smartphones)
these specs are miles better then the current PSP
although a dual core CPU would be nice, think about battery consumption and price as well as heat
where is your proof that this will only play "mini" type games? are two analogs even needed for those? also, android is very popular right now, even more popular then apples iphone, so its little wonder that sony would use the android OS
android already has some games, not alot but some so sonys PSPhone benifits from this, if they choose to use their own phone OS they would have no or very little apps, only sony games and a unproven OS

and for the guys that just wanted a new handheld im pretty sure this PSPhone and the PSP2 are two different devices so everybody gets what they want

you guys also have to consider manufacturing costs, R&D costs, and although MS are selling kinect for $150 they aren't getting all of that when they sell it and if callahan09 is righ,t 3 million sales wont even be close to breaking even
what you just described is the same as fifa, pro evo soccer, call of duty, almost every fighting game and the list goes on and on so should they all die to?
did you also notice that these games are among the few that usually sell fairly well? it's because the fanbase dont really want change, changing the game to much may put people off so as the old saying goes, dont fix what aint broke, especially if it sells millions without much effort
