they do its called kinect
/s
dont forget the half a bill on marketing alone...
i think when people think touch screen they think iphone type games and are put off straight away
like fishy said, touch screen has plenty of uses besides shitty iphone games
maybe one day they will look past the fanboy bullsh*t and realize these companies are in the business of making money first and foremost
the PSP Phone uses the same CPU as the G2 which is pretty powerful, the G2 is underclocked to 800 mhz yet it is still faster then the 1Ghz snapdragon chips
now consider that the psp phones CPU is clocked at 1ghz and has the same amount of ram as a PS3 and 360
also consider that yes, this could of had a tegra 2 CPU or some dual core CPU but then the price would go sky high then we would have the GO all over again
bear in mind that the current PSP only has 333 mhz cpu and only 64 ram
assuming the current PSP used all that ram and processing power 100% of the time it still leaves plenty of resources assuming it works the same way for the psp phone
it's just a matter of sony confirming it when they are ready
lets just all hope it wont be a long wait :)
why cant this device have proper games AS WELL AS being a phone?
i await your response....
im a guy who plays only hardcore games, now if i were a 360 only owner, looking at the current 360 lineup and the direction MS is taking with kinect, i would jump ship too
sony must have seen the gap in the market
powerful smartphones are capable of playing graphic intensive games but lack the buttons/support needed
sony made the logical choice :)
but i really REALLY want this, even if you removed the phone portion from this device it is still a significant upgrade in comparison to the current PSP
much better CPU (333mhz vs 1Ghz) much better ram (64mb vs 512mb) and the android OS with all the goodies that brings including the android market with over 100K apps and a larger market share then apples iphone OS which, in my opinion needs to be taken down a notch
i know this is still a rumour but im being optimistic
i meant all the features a PSP phone would have including phone features which the 3DS does not have
in terms of games, i admit im assuming but its a logical assumption, why would sony, with all their studios who make a wide selection of games, would choose not to bring hardcore games to this platform? or should i say only bring casual games? at the very least it should have access to the current PSP lineu...
why the hell would they do that?? honestly....
even if what you said is a hypothetical, it makes no sense
maybe this virtual thumb stick works well enough that a PSP GO style numb stick was not needed
i really want to try it out for my self to be honest
if you dont no what your talking about do the following, google it, ask someone or say nothing at all
the current PSP has a 333 mhz CPU and only has 64mb RAM while the PSP phone has a 1 GHZ CPU with 512 ram
this device is far FAR more powerful then the current PSP
this could have a OLED/AMOLED/Super AMOLED or super LCD screen, we dont no yet although sony are more inclined to use super LCD
3.7 to 4.1 inch is big enough for mo...
because carrying fewer devices is a good thing
i get around 5 to 7mb
apparently BT is upgrading my exchange to fibre optics on march 31 so just a few months to wait :)
if your sharing your connection with multiple people then you certainly need this
the sony psp phone is breaking new ground by having hardcore games with proper buttons on a phone, no other devices can boast this, not the 3Ds, windows phone 7 or iphone
im guessing it because it a prototype and because of the Z systems thing that sony ericsson use
i read somewhere that their actual profit was something like 5 bil which is not bad
