The reviewer winged about not having the iconic chain blades like the previous games.... Lol he clearly didn't get far in this game before writing this joke of a review.
Oh and yes you do get the chain blades, they're actually required to progress in the game

We're annoyed at the review because of the fact that the reviewer clearly didn't even finish the game as per quote below:

It took them 4 years to build this game which includes two ship types, skeletons and 3 quest variables.
