2 things:
.CELL is dead as a viable chip
.Unless you want to buy a $599 console again and Sony want to be the laughing stock for another generation... it's just better to cut expensive PS3-BC and go for an affordable console that is easy to sell
Now, when Sony unveil the PS4 and tell there is no PS3-BC, people will RAGE! and XBX8 will have another advantage compared to PS4

Now with Wii-U out, I'm not seeing how the Wii will be relevant in a couple of months, meanwhile PS360 will have price-cuts to make room for the new consoles from Sony+MS

It's kind of a mockup of those Xbox-portable rumors from years ago... and honestly, did Nvidia not saw what's happening with dedicated gaming handheld or what?
Doesn't matter if it runs Android or anything, people will not give a S#*T and procede buying Ipads + Galaxy tabs like they're doing right now
Oh... and doesn't look portable at all... guess Vita will share space with a new partner in the bargain-bin a couple of months from now
In theory, you patent an idea to implement it or with the purpose of doing it, IF not, what you're doing is called patent-trolling, like some companies do to take advantage of others that can create a product/service based on that idea, just to get cash from them without doing much

They patent loads of stuff for no real use, at some point it'll reach patent-trolling status, they have a tablet controller, kind of like the Wii-U XP and the other crazy s#*t was in-game-advertising "*best brand soda*" lol

PS4 = Nope! PS4 (AMD: CPU+GPU) <-/-> PS3 (IBM/Nvidia) = IBM-CELL + Nvidia-RSX = too expensive for just backward-compatibility
