It needs SALES to survive, so far it sold 2.2m worldwide and it does 10k week on all the 3 important regions:
10k - NA
10k - EU
10k - JP
30k * 4 weeks = 120k month * 12 = 1.44M year
At this rate it'd take 6 YEARS to reach 10 million units sold, by that time people will not even care while using their Smartphones and Tablets to run games on par with PSP/Vita games
Eh... Sony is in bad shape, It may not be the Gaming Division, well before Vita launch at least, but as a whole, Sony Corp is not doing good and doesn't show signs to improve, some people take this as bashing or hating Sony, but denying the bad shape of the company is pointless...
TLoU will not sell as well as it deserves because Sony doesn't know how to advertise and when, they'll probably put a 15 second ad 3 days before the game comes out and sure the game will compete a huge franchise, like U3 did last year, it's a shame, ND deserve more sales than what they actually get.
Yeah, I'm not expeting much, since KH3DS didn't do great, SE will probably port it to Vita and call it a day, Eastern Devs aside from the Niche, really seem to not care about Vita, 3DS is taking all the games.
SLim V2 is more expensive than V1 Slim, it has no fancy and awesome slot-loading drive, dust-magnet top-loading tray (laser could get f@#*ed by that) + ridges and honestly, that's like cheapest plastic ever, I mean difference is kind of too obvious going from fatty -> Slim -> Slimmer

Don't like where this is going, the patent about the controller checking on pulse and heart was kind of OK, but this one is just crazy... was going to make a joke about this patent and the playstation move, but I'm sure people here would kill me e_e
There is nothing about this yet, why people is talking about changing gaming forever IF there is nothing even announced, some people hype things out of proportion with no reason.
Motion-waggle is a waste, except for pointer-control functionality, moving the controller in the direction you want to shoot in a FPS game is good, waggle your arms like dumb to re-create a movement in the game is stupid.

Problem is not hardware, it's the price of the software and the bloated amount of games released in the same period
The first quarter of 2013 is totally packed with games that avoided competing with the big amount of games that will be released this November + December.

Got proof on that? if you know about sales, it could be that people are buying the V1 Slim before the new model replaces it, but that's only if you have something that proves your claim.

X360 Still king in America, Portables are on decline, 3DS might survive though

Title is wrong, new PS3 model is not a threat, looks like a more expensive downgrage compared to the V1 Slim, MS will try to keep getting the most sales it can, that's why they'll cut prices
