Give them a choice then. If current consoles and future ones can support arbitraries resolution and refresh rate. Then you'll see a lot more 1440p panels market toward consoles.
I'd love to have a PS5 hook up to an 1440p panel pushing 165hz and a 2160p panel @60hz at the flip of button.
1440p and 144hz+ is the sweet spot that every platform should aim for. Give people the option of 2160p @60hz for big bois tv and high refresh 1440p for the small monitor bois and everyone will be happy.
The hardware isn't the issue. PS5 is pretty powerful and resolution is just a software ordeal.
Don't forget that WDL runs like crap on PC. Even the 3090 can't even get lock 60fps with RT on at 4k. Even my 3080 struggles at 3440x1440 to get 60fps with NO rt. What a mess.
Alright. 45 days bois. That'll give us time to catch up on other games that'll be coming out. Not the end of the world.

Safe to say this is geared toward 1080p
Recommend System Requirements
CPU: i7-4770K / Ryzen 5 1500X
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 1060 / RX 580
HDD: 100 GB
I'm guessing at least a 2060 or 1080 for 1440p 60fps
For 1440p 120fps+ would be a 1080ti or 2070 and above
1440p ultrawide 100fps+ would require a 2080 and above
2160p 60fps would also be a 2080 and above
This was tested on an Asus TUF FX505DT laptop with Ryzen 5-3550H and gtx 1650 @1080p. They complained that their test system only got around 24-30fps at MAXED setting..
They did no testing with DLSS and bother with any other settings with different hardware. Why write an article when you so limited on hardware or testing methodology?
Guru3D did a much better job and this site can learn a lot from them.

not bad for 1080p. Not sure they're targetting 6...
Good. Give the cheaters as much hurdles so they're discourage to even think about cheating. Now Activision just need to go after the cheat makers and send them to the gulag with lawsuits.
DICE's managements are the cause of BF5 downfall. They didn't listen to the community. They wanted to have their own spin on WW2 vs the community wanted a BF1942 on frostbite. Lesson learned DICE. Don't disappoint the fanbase with the next one.
Love it when N4G goes full defender mode for Sony. Watch the downvotes on this comment.
Not everyone want to buy another console just for 1-2 games. A lot of people can wait since they got different priorities.
Same as RE2 Remake
Aimed at 1080p 30fps:
i5-4460 or FX-6300
8GB of RAM
GTX 760 or R7 260x
Same. Waited for FFXV and I can wait for this. N4G is full of PS4 fanboys so they'll downvote anything that's multiplatform. Watch the downvote on this comment and you'll see.
Fallout 76
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Anthem
Need For Speed: Heat
Apex Legends
Really pointless to click through 5 different pages to see ads and pop ups
November 15 at 12 AM EST or 9 PM PST. That tells me that EA are not that confident.
heh no. It's good but not THE best
they should have option for lower res and detail for 60fps. It's hard to play fps at 30fps competitively
Bought the game on Switch. So far it's pretty good but below 30fps dips is frustrating especially in combat. If the ps4/pc version with 60fps ever happen, I'll buy it again.
Just say 2021 at this point
Poor guy must never work with professional grade panels or game on a 1440p high refresh.
