Funny how these two companies fight over service offering that remind me more of Waypoint and Bungie.net. Except Bungie has always offered these items for FREE. I have earned avatar items, in game content, viewable stats, leaderboards that could use a little work, and a forum community. Not to mention the monthly map updates, big jackpot bonuses, etc. Sounds like one company got it right and the rest are just following suit with greed.

The big question in the formula is: SOLD - BROKEN = ACTUAL. All the RROD and other broken 360s should not count as those were replaced for owners in warrenty. I would like to see a breakdown of sales for each SKU.

Kinect has only been out a little while. I am sure it helped sell some numbers in the last 6 months but 6 years is a long time of strickly game/entertainment driven sales.

Notice the amount they effort they are willing to put forth to increase "paying" users' gaming experience but not so much for all the users in the past. I'm not sure how people can't see right through this BS. It's like GameStop and their new "Download Insurance"...seriously

While I would love a sequel it will most likely pale in comparison to the classic. Plus with the rebirth of Lords of Shadow it is highly unlikely they will go back to 2D. I was just glad when the remake came to the XBLA.

If it's something they have to get right they would have realized that more money is NEVER right. Although it is Activision and that is their philosophy, "rape the consumer". These companies talk about how much goes into making these games and that they are constantly losing money. It should not cost that much to produce a video game. If you had 50 staffers involved, each making $75k (not likely but estimating), for 2 years on a game add $1.5M for production it would cost ab...

This is a big F.U. to those who pre-ordered for the rarity of the skins as well as those who paid hundreds of dollars to collect them when they were ridiculously expensive on eBay...good thing I was neither!

I'm starting not to care with the amount of time they said there "could" be a reveal. The day Bungie confirms it or a trailer hits then I will care.

If the writer of this article knew anything he would know it has to do with the way the DVD's are written and how the drives read the disc that does not allow the games to work on a normal PC. With the multitude of DVD drives out there for the PC is highly unlikely people will get a firmware update which can read an Xbox games.

These are now the worst forums ever. Congrats to MS on making things worse. The old ones were not that bad so why the replacement?

Not sold out on Amazon. Personally the set is not worth it since it contains no value added to the game. Perhaps if it included a code for the XBLA game, in-game content, or something of value it maybe good. The only reason people will buy these is to resell them to idiot who will pay because they are "limited". 200,000 is not really limited.

Allowing people to upgrade certain pieces means developers have to worry about compatibility. If there were regular drivers updates issue then it may not be a big deal. The only pieces worth upgrading include DVD drive, HDD, RAM and graphics. DVD would not really be a good idea because they have to be able to read game discs. The HDD and RAM should be doable but the console I believe has onboard RAM. The graphics is the last main one and will just take up crazy space for modern graphics ...

While FEAR 2 is a good game the deal is not that good. You can get a used copy of FEAR 2 for around $8 - $10. Chances are amazon will have a better pre-offer credit deal.

This has been in the works for a little over a year now. ESPN was the first step to test the live streaming and u-verse was the first to test the service. If they bring a full fledged cable offer there are many things they would have to best cable providers at in order to compete. Price will be the hardest because streaming and servers don't come cheap. Channel offering, including HD, will have to be huge. U-Verse offers only 1/3 or less of current cable channels available. The bigg...

The gameplay is almost the exact same as the GoW2 with a few new weapons, better graphics, and customizability. Personally they do not have the gnasher and sawed-off balance right at close range, some of the maps are unbalanced, and the spawing is a joke. I don't know how many times I spawned in my own base only to be spawn camped or have an enemy spawn in my own base right next to me. Overall, it is not bad so far but I don't plan on leaving Halo to play this regularly when it com...

Please do. It will show the rest of the industry what happens to a company who does subscriptions when you go out of business. I feel a boycott coming on, who's with me?

Platinum Hits never made much sense. Classics is a better branding. Although most of those games sell for way less online.

Only an idiot would buy the codes at $30+. Just wait till they fall to a few bucks or the game price drops about $30.

Online pass has no benefit to the end user. It online benefits the company who sells the games by making it's customers pay more money. The biggest stick in the a** is that they won't even lower the price of the game. The only reason I am buying MK is because it's MK. I am boycotting all other online pass games.

The Harry Potter Kinect game is actually $15 at Amazon and Kinectimals is $25.
