With my DK2 I'm primarily playing Elite Dangerous using a 4770k and 780ti.
If I play at 1080p on a monitor I achieve FPS between 130 and 200 on high settings but with the DK2 it is approximately half that. To remove judder in Space Stations with the Rift where my FPS is dropping below 75 I have to play on medium settings.
So yes, if crytek are showing a VR demo at 100fps the same demo...
That depends on what makes a good car. My next door neighbour swapped his GTR for an R8 after a week of ownership, said it was stupidly fast but one of the most boring cars he'd ever driven and coming from a guy who's owned Porsches and Ferrari's I value his opinion. It also had a 'tacky' interior ... If you aspire to own one good on you but there's a shed load of cars you'd be better off spending your money on and they all hail from Europe.

Maybe you should spend your money on a different game.
I got in the first one and won't be bothering this time around, one of the most bland experiences I've had in a racing game.
Apart from Halo 2 single player unless they've back tracked on that ...

So far absolutely captivating!! I'm not exactly a Sci-Fi or Flight Sim fan but the level of immersion, actually feeling that you're flying a space ship in Elite has to be tried to be believed! The sense of scale is ridiculous, the stars and planets are massive and docking or exiting a spaceport is something else. If you can find anyone who has one you have to try it, pretty sure you'd order one as soon as you got home ;)
Depends what you call a major release? I'm currently playing pCARS and Elite Dangerous with my DK2 and eagerly awaiting SC and iRacings updates ...

My 55" tv hasn't been turned on for gaming since receiving my Oculus DK2 last week, there's no comparison.
Try and find somebody with Elite Dangerous and a DK2 and then come back to me and let me know your thoughts on VR ;)
Been playing it with a DK2 since Thursday, unbelievably good and the No.1 VR title at the moment.
Such a mess of a gamer tag, I don't think I want that cluttering up my friends list.
With my Oculus Rift DK2 due for delivery by today I'm voting Oculus ATM :D

Unless Slightly Mad pull their finger out their arse and start some serious optimisations I'd say the recommended specs are laughable.
