Seems I'm the only one who was REALLY creeped out by that *Shadow of the Colossus spoiler!* giant fish boss in SotC. -__-

Nice to see Tretton bring his A-game at Forbes.

I like the answer he gave @ 7:45

Microsoft seems to be continuing the trend of catering to a smaller demographic.

A better question would be: What happens when a game sells over 5 million copies?

I'd buy this day one if I had a DS.

I'm pretty much the same way. I can live without Halo and Gears. I already hate spending hours cooped up in my house. I don't want add to that by owning two consoles. I'll probably be more portable gaming centric when next gen arrives.

Anyway, I still enjoy reading these kinds of articles.

Another example of how CELL helps the RSX GPU.

A U.S. release date would be nice. Also, I lol'd at 1:18. Seems From Software likes A Link to The Past.

550,000 PS3's were sold in 1 week following the its pricecut.
Less than 350,000 Xbox 360s were sold in the month following its own price cut in 2008.

The Xbox 360 Arcade price cut went into effect less than 1 week into the month of September 2008, and was given about 4 WEEKS to try to reach that 350,000 number, while being price significantly lower than its competition. Interestingly, the PS3 manages to sell 550,000 units in 1 WEEK following its own price cut, while not bei...

C'mon, lets not kid ourselves. The xboxs that make up that 8 million install base lead have all RROD'd.

Not only that, but I still have a sizable backlog of games to go through.

Aside from Mafia 2, I'm not really mad about games getting pushed back to 2010. The games released in Spring 2010 should be heavily discounted by the time summer arrives :D

That is not a very stellar list.

I might pickup Batman & Borderlands. Alpha Protocol and Brutal Legend won't be bought, unless I hear something miraculous from the reviewers.
Muramasa would be a day one buy if I owned a Wii.

No one game will ever define the PS3.

What's more important is the overall aggregate appeal of the catalog. That has always been the hallmark of the Playstation brand.

The aggregate impact of lots of little, medium, and big games has been more important. And though the numbers are (much) smaller, that still seems to be true with PS3.

I have never, throughout my entire 2 years of posting on N4G, seen a spectacle anything like the one vega & ultimolu put on for us.
