Congratulations to Xbox One. The August win was expected because of new hardware release. It was predicted by many last month. New hardware always sells gangbusters. Even the Wii U sold 3 million in 2 and a half months when it launched. Last month, Xbox One won by about 7K-10K units because of all the crazy fat Xbox One stock clearance sales and deals. Now September will see the PS4 Slim release and Playstation will see a big surge. PS4 will lead in NPD monthly sales for September 2016. I pre...
Moreover, they keep forgetting about those awful touch controls and the limited battery life when they tout console-level gaming. You cant play console level complex games with touch controls and your mobile battery will not last beyond a couple of hours.
Scorpio will never be $400 with that UHD Bluray player, that 320 GB/s bandwidth RAM and 6 TF GPU or they will be taking a big loss; which they can do if they want to though. They have also said that it is a premium product with all the overkill features so it will have premium pricing as well.
PS4 Pro is already cheap and Sony can drop the price even lower when Scorpio arrives. Finally, we will start hearing rumours about PS5 after Scorpio launches as it would have been a f...
Just like MS wont give up the power advantage, so wouldn't Sony. Both will try to outdo each other in order gain advantage. However, Scorpio 2 is nothing but fiction right now when even Scorpio 1 is more than a year away. I give you figures and facts that support my argument and you give me an imaginary Scorpio 2 to back up your claim.
Why am I wasting my time talking to a notorious troll fanboy. You can believe all the imaginary crap and lies you want. Whatever makes y...
No, because Scorpio is too far away. By that time new generation would be upon us. The author is arguing that Scorpio is effectively a new-gen console instead of just a minor upgrade. It will compete with PS5. MS is just trying to release their "Xbox Two" before PS5.
Scorpio is more of a next-gen console (Xbox Two?) with how big of a jump it is over the Xbox One. It is actually 4 times more powerful (1.3 TF vs 6 TF) which is the same level of difference between Xbox 360 and Xbox One (0.3 TF vs 1.3 TF). On the other hand, PS4 Pro is only a little over 2 times more powerful (1.8 TF vs 4.2 TF) and Sony has clearly pointed out that it is a current-gen device.
The PS5 will be the real competitor of Scorpio and will be more powerful since it ...
It was given that the games would run upscaled to 4K on PS4 Pro. A 4TF GPU cannot run modern games at native 4K and stable 30 fps. It is impossible. Even the Scorpio cannot run modern games at native 4K with its 6TF GPU. 4K resolution with intensive modern graphics is very demanding and requires a much more powerful GPU. Something in the range of 8TF and 10TF. Moreover, dont forget the need for a much more powerful CPU too. 4K is just not achievable on consoles right now within reasonable pri...
It is major oversight by Sony to omit a core 4K functionality when they are building a 4K console. They definitely should have included a UHD Bluray drive in the Pro when even Xbox One S has it. I think they were focusing on the $400 price too much. I know that the 4K TVs are rare and people buy consoles to play games but it makes PS4 Pro look inferior to Xbox One family in people's eyes. IMO they should have included a UHD Bluray player, an Elite controller and a 2 TB HDD and released th...
I do think the conference was a little disappointing and confusing. First of all, I dont know what kind of improvements I will see on my standard HDTV if I buy a PS4 Pro. They definitely should have given us some facts and figures regarding resolution, graphical enhancements and frame rate on at least first party games if you run them on PS4 Pro on a standard HDTV. Most of the people have regular HDTVs so they want to know the benefits of upgrading to a PS4 Pro.
Man, how many people even have 4K TVs?? As of end of 2014 only 1%, I repeat ONLY ONE PERCENT of Americans have 4K TV! It is just a novelty feature right now. Besides why do we buy videogame consoles? Come on, you can do it... Nope. Oh well... well to actually PLAY GAMES! Surprising, right? They are offering a console more than twice as powerful as the last one that plays games better at only $100 more. That is the value and that is why people will buy it. Not for watching $40-$50 4K movie dis...
That was my reaction when I saw it the first time but the developers have promised that it will not be another zombie game and will be unique. Let us see how it turns out. Personally, I am tired of zombies as well after seeing them rule the media for the past 10 years.
WTF is the author talking about?? The PS4 Neo was under development and had a 2016 expected release date long before Scorpio information was even leaked. Does he really think Sony suddenly rushed and completed the PS4 Neo and gave it a release date just after seeing Scorpio reveal?? Corporations plan out these things years in advance; product development and launches are not done as a knee-jerk reaction. Just s clickbait article; nothing more.
They did not mention the specs which clearly means they are inferior to Scorpio. However, they have also pointed out that it is intended as a current-gen device. Therefore, a proper PS5 will release in order to compete with Scorpio. Scorpio seems more like a next-gen machine anyway. It is the same strategy they used with the Xbox 360 when they released it just 4 years after the launch of Xbox.

I disagree. People would still find reasons to fight each other. Religion has mostly been used as an excuse over the history of mankind. Wars are often fought over pride, resources and land. Whereas hatred is born out of conceit, bigotry, cultural differences and ethnocentricism; not religion. Basically when people think they are better than other people and they deserve to take what they want (land, oil, minerals, food, water) it leads to hatred and war.
I agree. Not just the gaming community but the whole internet community is toxic. And this toxicity is born out of anonymity and absence of responsibility. In real world, you have an identity and can be held responsible for what you say to others. On the internet, you are anonymous and can easily get with almost anything you say. As a result, it brings out the worst in many people who suddenly feel totally safe and can act as cruel, harsh and bad as they want to.
Is this game ever going to get released or are they only going to show development videos and tech demos?? It seems it has been ages since game was announced.
EDIT: Just checked and the game was announced in August 2014. However, they scrapped all the work that was done and started from scratch again while carrying some of the older concepts and assets. I wonder why... Then they announced it as Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice in March 2016 with an expected release date of ...
I am still looking forward to Legend of Dragoon 2 but I guess Sony will never make it... At least they should open up PSOne classics on PS4 so I can play the original.
