I remember a guy here claiming that if PS4 will see a sales surge due to FFXV, then so will Xbox One since the game is multiplatform. People tried to explain to him that it wont happen but he just didnt get it or maybe did not want to get it. I wonder if he is reading this article and seeing the 300 units sales surge compared to PS4's 100K units. LOL.
I agree that the sales are massively down compared to FFXIII but we also have to factor in digital sales trend and the PS4's installed base in Japan right now. Digital sales account for about 27% of total sales these days. There are also only 3.5 million PS4s in Japan so we cant expect them to sell 1.5 million FFXV physical copies.
It is a trilogy like Mass Effect. They announced it a long time ago. They claim that when converted to 3D open world environments the game becomes too big to finish at once within reasonable time and fit on a single disc which sounds believable. But I am sure more money is at the back of their minds too. :P
Because you can buy FFX/X-2 Remaster already and FFXII Remaster is coming next year and they can charge you much more money for them separately. :P Both of those also are quite big and wont fit on a single disc. FF1-6 is like a few hundreds mbs at best. FF7-FF9 is about 8 GBs.
For some reason animations in Bioware games are always weird at best and creepy at worst. I dont know why characters in their games walk and talk in such weird ways. Those weird open arms while walking as if they are body builders look stupid especially on slender women. The rest of the animations including gestures, jumping, and running all look unnatural.
Finally, facial animations are often plain ugly and inaccurate. That Commander Shephard smile from Mass Effect or that...
You are can try saying the Earth is round and you will still get disagrees over here. Disagree button is more of a way of saying, "I dont want to read what you are saying even if it is true."
Dont be a troll. Yes, there are frame pacing issues on PS4 and the fault lies with the developer. On the other hand, Xbox One has screen tear, lower resolution and performance dips not present on PS4. Did you even read it or chose to ignore that part?
"There's a dynamic resolution scaling solution in place that gives the title a softer look than its siblings, and in effects-heavy scenes, there are also performance dips you won't see on PlayStation hardware. Squ...
No problems here on my 200 inch 16K Super HDR TV on my Super PS4 Pro Max. LOL I thought I might as well have a go at it too while everyone is boasting about their TVs. :P
I have this issue to a slight extent. Nothing too serious but a little bit of the HUD is being cut off on all 4 sides of my TV. It is an old HDTV so it does not have any fancy options to resize the picture that later TVs have. I wish SE would patch the game and add a screen resize option like so many other games out there.
@TFJWM
Yeah, I tried but it can only get worse but cutting off even more and not better. Lol. I will try some more tomorrow maybe I wi...
They have let go of the fandom; now let us see if it pays off. I approached the game with an open mind and wanted to give it a chance. I even defended it from many jaded old fans including you, SSJDomon and GodMars. However, as I now sit at chapter 3, I cannot deny that I am feeling disappointed and underwhelmed for now...
The lack of cutscenes, the poor story telling, the mundane fetch/kill quests, the boring empty world, the inconsistent graphics and the abrupt cutscene b...
It was the analysts that predicted that figure and not Sony. Wonder what they based it on. Their predictions were way overestimated for a new product in its infancy and yet to receive a must-have killer app. 750,000 is a much more realistic more in line with what Sony hoped to sell.
I think it is worth mentioning that the article is talking about only ONLINE sales through retail websites. The numbers do not include units sold at physical stores. Therefore, this is only part of the whole picture. The real figures would be much higher.
Man, this website is so ignorant, unprofessional and clickbait. These guys have been after FFXV since day 1. The last time they used two random posts on NeoGaf to make a whole article about the poor performance of FFXV. Now they claim that gamers have to download 16 GB of updates. That is a blatant lie! Patches do not stack or add up! The latest patch includes all the past updates as well.
The is 1.02 patch is 9 GB and includes 1.01 as well. I am downloading it right now. I...
Final Fantasy fans never seem to be happy about any FF game unanimously. A game that can be masterpiece for some, can be trash for others. For example, I love FFVIII and its hero Squall even though many hate them or at least find them disappointing. When FFVII released many considered it worse than FFVI or even terrible. I have also seen some really old fans who say FF stopped being good after FFV and everything after it is a disgrace to the franchise.
Pokemon is on handhelds where most other turn-based games are today. It also has millions of nostalgic fans who are used to collecting pokemon, watching cartoons, and playing with plush dolls etc. since the 90s. The franchise has just become a must have legend that gets a free pass each iteration.
FFXHD sold because of nostalgia and old fans of the game. I played it too.
Man... so many people still dont get the reason for the day one patch even after Square explained it. They even released the patch/update details yesterday; just read them. Basically, the game was not fitting on the disc.
Dual layered Blurays can hold only 50 GB and even out of that only about 48 GB is available for storage. The game was above 50 GB so they had to cut content to fit it on the disc. Then the game was finally around 47 GB and was enough to fit on the disc. Th...
