I can understand why they didnt drop the price before because that expensive gamepad was preventing them. That gamepad alone costs around $150! Dropping price would mean losing money on each piece sold and Nintendo is very profit oriented. They prefer to earn money on each unit sold instead of earning just whatever they can from software. And I think that is why they have been able hang around for such a long time. Profit first; sales later.
I will try this the next time. The game just gives too little AP to learn the abilities. You can barely learn a few of them throughout the whole game if you dont farm AP actively.
I had a similar feeling but it is still a good game. I was particularly disappointed by the story-telling which lacks crucial cutscenes, character building and plot exposition. I also do not agree with the decision to reveal so much story in the movie and anime instead of the game itself. The game just feels like a truckload of minigames/sidequests/hunts with very little purpose and structure due to absence of a fleshed out narrative and character backgrounds/motivations.
