What has 4K resolution got to do with the actual graphics of the game? A 4K TV does not suddenly improves lighting, physics, character models, frame rate or animations. 4K resolution only makes the image sharper and HDR increases the range of colors. I do not see a different engine because everything looks the same and the lighting, animations, and cloth physics are the same as in Rise of Iron. Can you provide a link where it proves it is using a new engine?
So much disappointed that it looks almost the same as D1. No improvements to lighting, particle effects, character models, animations, physics, foliage, frame rate or textures. Why!? The game is not cross gen anymore and is releasing 3 years later! It should look drastically better! Maybe the rumors are true that D2 is actually just the cut Cabal themed expansion from D1 and other cut content like Euro Deadzone instead of a proper new game.
The game is getting a lot of praise across board. It is sitting at a metascore of 88 which iirc is higher than any other fighter released this generation. Seems to be a good game. Cant disagree with that. Vagrant Story was a masterpiece in terms of... everything including gameplay, story, writing, graphics, and lore. It remains one of my favorite games of the Squaresoft era along with Xenogears and FFVIII.
I say FFVIII or go home! :P Even though many hate it, it is my favorite one. Just loved roaming around Balamb Garden, Fisherman Horizon and Shumi Village while that soothing soundtrack played in the background. Anyway FFIX is pretty awesome too. What is up with all this Switch propaganda recently as if it is some massive hit? It has barely sold the same amount as the Wii U which is the worst selling console in history of Nintendo and one of the worst selling in the industry. The original Mass Effect was released 10 years ago so a lot of those issues werent an issue back in those days. According to a report by Kotaku, the game did not meet sales targets so EA has shelved ME franchise and demoted Bioware Montreal to just a support team after they bungled their first ever game. There wont be a ME Andromeda 2 or any other ME game for the foreseeable future. The game will be in the bargain bin very soon. People are already getting it for as low as $30 brand new.
I agree with naruga as well. I was never in favor of this hillbilly Hollywood horror flick reboot of RE franchise. We wanted a return to roots akin to RE1-3 and not jumping on the fps hide and seek horror bandwagon. Evil corporations, weapons, customization parts, third person, fixed camera angles, various kinds of BoWs and interesting cool villains like Wesker or Alexander. RE7 missing its sales target by 500,000 units is proof that original fans did not ask for this.
Nope the 360 version ran at 1365 x 768 which is higher than 720p! Dont know how they couldnt get a fighting game to run at even 720p on PS3 which produced games like The Last of Us. That is just another level of laziness and ineptitude.
This game is quite old by now and not so demanding that it cant even run at 1080p on PS4. Tekken devs are not very good at optimizing their games. Everybody remember the resolution, graphics, and frame rate for Tekken 6? That game was a total mess and ran at 1024x576 on PS3 with horrible textures and slow downs.
