I remember when Yoko Taro joking said in a video with a chart on display that his game will get crushed by other major releases during the period. He must be very pleasantly surprised and it will give SE more confidence in him as well. Hope to see more games from the guy.
Exactly. I have no sympathy for ME Andromeda. They should have done a better job on the game. Maybe if they gave the game to developers of the original trilogy instead of some team of noobs, the game would have turned out better. But no... EA were focusing on their new Destiny/Division/Overwatch style service game with microtransactions to milk people and they gave it to their best team and sacrificed ME Andromeda on the altar.
I wonder if SE will release FF7 Remake and KHIII by the time I become a grandpa... or maybe if I will still be alive by that time...

"Selling out" does not necessarily means it is selling like hot cakes. It can also mean the number of supplied units is too small which is more likely given Nintendo's history of limited supplies and artificial demand. Nintendo always do that to create the perception of the product being a hit so other people want it too. I think it is safe to say that the console will be a success at least in Japan if is getting Monster Hunter even if just a 3DS port. If it gets new Pokemon, Yokai Watch and Dragon Quest XI then it will definitely be a major success in Japan.
So much this. I have been raiding in Destiny for a long time and know exactly what this comment is referring too. Many people take the game too seriously and failure is never an option. Noobs have no place in the party. All members need to be the highest possible level and having specific gear to be allowed to join. They are already elitist. Not a single new third party game is releasing on the Switch. And Nintendo fanboys were looking forward to playing AAA games on the go... Lol. This is just another Wii U where you get one or two games a year and the console collects dust the rest of the year.
Majority of the people buy only one console and choose from the available options. If you are buying a one console then you will and want majority of the games then you wont buy a Switch. Not everybody has the time or money to keep multiple consoles. That is why Nintendo home consoles are spiraling downwards and losing customer base. Only Wii was an anomaly.
Because majority of the gamers own one system. Very few people buy multiple systems who are lucky to have more disposable time and money. Single console owners are a reality and the majority.
This is running on Unreal Engine 3 guys. Just look at the animations, lighting, hair, character models and skin textures! On the other hand, we have Mass Effect Andromeda on the relatively cutting edge Frostbite 3 where people look like this.
