Id venture to say not every find replay the same damn level over and over "fun". Difficulty isn't usually most people idea of "fun" man not everyone like dark souls games type games.
All a 70$ "base" price is going to do is cause more people to wait for sales or to use sites like G2A to get the game cheaper.

It's more due to the fact there isn't enough semiconductors to go around has really nothing to do with the popularity. Car manufacturers buy far more semiconductors than GPU, CPU and game companies and they get priority over other manufacturing companies because let's face it the world has pretty much let TSMC provide chips to everyone and that's not a good idea other places need to ramp up their own home grown chip production lines
