I pretty much get all my games on Switch due to portability. Not every gamer is going to have the same needs as me, but it was a game changer in my case.
I still have a PS4 Pro so I can play the games that do not come to it as well, but I pretty much spend 80% of my time on Switch these days. And this is coming from someone who's last Nintendo console was the N64.

Zelda
Xenoblade
Astral Chain
Fire Emblem
Pokemon
Daemon X Machina
Octopath Traveler
Splatoon
Bayonetta 2/3
Metroid
Donkey Kong
Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Anyone who says that "Mario, Mario, Mario" line just looks foolish at the end of the day lol.
Because the Switch sells a ton in Japan while XBox does not. Meanwhile the US is the XBox's only healthy market.
At the end of the day, a Nintendo device surpassed what it took X1 an entire generation to do in under three years. Spin it how you want, it does not change that fact.
@TK-66
You just described a lot nore than Amazon.
HYPE!!!
What if I told you that you can prefer one over the other, while still owning both?
They are still selling as good, better in some cases, than other games that are cheaper on all consoles. Why would they drop the price when they still sell?
Price goes down with sales curve. If there is no curve, the price stays up. Nintendo sells evergreen titles that continue to sell overtime while others have their sales front loaded. That is the real reason it takes so long for prices to drop on Nintendo games.

When it ups the clock speed, it renders the screen usless. It changes the form factor and how it operates based on what it is being used as, console or handheld. You cannot play docked settings on the go without hacking the console.
I think a fully BC Switch 2 for next gen is more likely by 2022 following a 5 year cycle. The Lite and OG models would be the cheap option that plays what it can and acts more as a handheld at that point (especiall...
@shaggy
For the first two years, most games will be cross gen and could easily be downported to Switch. If they launch Switch 2 in 2022, that follows their typical 5 year cycle and would continue their hybrid vision into next gen.
Also if anything, Switch would still get support from 3rd parties based on what it can do. Just like the 3DS and everything before it, so you would just see more 3rd party exclusives TBH because the install base is already bec...
Most of the games are mid 80s, get your facts straight. A few points lower but still in that 8/10 range is nothing outside of what to realisticly expect. Also I never said there were not trolls on both sides, however judging by uour reply there are plenty of misinformed.
My PS4 is complimentary. The only must play games on it for me was REmake 2 and DMCV this year. The hybrid nature and the fact that it still gets plenty of 3rd party support with greater 1st party output is what makes Switch my primary, despite not getting some multipats.
As for the article, yes they can co exist. Unless the PS5 and Scarlet will allow me to take my games natively on the go, they cannot replace my Switch. They can certainly be complimentary to it however...
Does it matter? The game is selling extremely well and has a healthy 81 on metacritic. Those that want it are enjoying the hell out of it, and those that choose to pass on it don't have to worry about it. If fans want to voice their complaints they have a right to.
So long as they are not looking down on those that did buy it and love it that is. People have just as much a right to enjoy it as those that have a right to feel like it did not meet their expectations.

Then why has the Switch continued to fly off shelves while there is not a lack in supply? It really is not that hard to find.
I have wanted a new Fable game for a long time. Looking forward to learning more.
Gamepass is the only real thing XBox has going for it.
Inquisition was a good game, but not the beat RPG ever. Dragon Age 2 was lazy and rushed, reusing the same maps over and over while trying to claim they are different locations. The only difference is different doors would be accessable and different enemies would be present.
Witcher 3 alone destroys any Dragon Age game if we are talking about western style RPG. If we delve into Japanese RPGs, Persona says hi.
Splatoon was a big new IP for Nintendo no doubt, but honestly I think it was more Breath of the Wild being a Switch launch title that truly kick started their comeback. As good as Splatoon was, it still did not move any more units than maybe a small spike. BotW however set the stage for their current gen hybrid.
I am guessing Ys 8 might have sold better in the west when compared to the PS4 for a number of reasons. Japan already had a console and portable version, so it probably sold less there. Meanwhile in the west Ys sales are really not that high to begin with, so the PS4 release did not impress.
Then it gets released on the Switch during a dry summer, and people looking for Switch games to play snatch it up at a higher rate than when it launched previously on PS4.
