I wonder when the lawsuit will happen?? You know it will. MS is gonna back track on everything just to stay competitive. That bottleneck is too much of a problem.
Even Bobby K said he wouldn’t put his day one releases on there. He said under oath it doesn’t make money.
A day one release is in no way profitable for any Microsoft first party studio. Microsoft just has too much money to fail. GamePass will not be profitable until they reach 100 million or somewhere close to that in subscribers. GTA V has been on 3 consoles now. Those are the type of games that work on any type of subscription service. Indie studios are also profitable on there.
If I was Sony I’d say sure we’ll put our games on Xbox. Not on GamePass though. Bet five they say hell no!!

They did the same thing with their showcase. Phil said we’re not gonna show a lot of cg trailers. Then they proceeded to show a lot of cg trailers.
I honestly think the end game is for Microsoft to be able to buy the PlayStation brand from Sony. Hell maybe even buy Sony all together.
It’s just too bad that they had to buy a million studios and pull games away from other platforms to do it. Before anybody says it…I’m not talking about Starfield. The new Elder scrolls game will be exclusive, Hellblade and Outer worlds will be Exclusive. They had plenty of time to do this without buying all the studios and publishers throughout the industry.
If even one of these GaaS hit big. It will bring in more money to make single player games. They don’t need 20 GaaS. They need a few big hitters to generate income. I think you make a few like they plan on doing. See if any stick. They will always make single player games too.
Honestly Xbox probably wants it on GamePass or nothing. SE probably does want that to kill sales on the console. I don’t blame them. Anything Final Fantasy prints money.

MS just bought enough studios to make all the games they need. They already have way more studios than Sony. They’ve had plenty of time in the console space to compete. They keep shooting their selves in the foot. Now they can just go buy all the studios? No it’s not good for the industry if one studio owns all the studios.
CoD being 10% of their total revenue is huge. That’s the part of the argument that people can’t understand.
I really want this game to be real. I want it to be great! Most of all please come to the PS5. I know they say it is but usually when it goes to steam first. It takes forever for it to come to consoles.
All of Sonys IP together doesn’t match the year after year of COD. That’s the argument. If Xbox allows COD to appear on game pass and no other service. It will wipe out a huge amount of revenue for Sony. I mean where would you choose to play if it was included in game pass? I hope the sale doesn’t go through and ole Bobby gets what he deserves.
I agree. There’s no way that game pass has been profitable. Look at how much Xbox spent on studios. Bethesda and Activision cost around 70 billion…I think. Now add operating cost and how much it cost to get games on game pass. There is no way they made the amount of money to recoup the cost much less all the extras. They can afford loss though. MS has deep pockets. The only way song survives and makes really good quality games it to put the games on the market for a year or so. Then move them...
Go buy a Tv on a credit card. Play the game. Then return the tv lol. Had a buddy who did this on every vacation we’d go on. Never failed. Just keep the receipt. Make sure to put it back on the credit card. That’s important.
If they own everything then the future doesn’t look too good. I don’t want one group to own everything.

68.7 billion. I don’t see how Microsoft is gonna put all the games on game pass. I can’t imagine how much it cost to make call of duty each year. Now there gonna cut out half the sales. The only way they be able to sustain this is raise the price of game pass. At what point is it too much for little Timmy’s mom to pay each month? 20-30$ a month might turn a lot of people off.
Wonder how Xbox people would react if Sony bought capcom or Take 2? Then kept GTA or Resident Evil from them. I promise it wouldn’t be pretty. I say turn about is fair play.
