Gears is definitely the one series I’ve wanted to play. I remember seeing it at E3. Then shortly after finding out that it was an exclusive. Then MS out right bought the Ip later. After that anything that was gonna be multiplatform should be. Hellblade 2 I wanna play because I loved the first game. ES6 should’ve alway been a multi plat game. I mean part 5 was rereleased as much as GTA5 did. The rest if they wanna keep to have exclusives they can.
MS shareholders have seen how PlayStation owners buy games. They spent way too much money on publishers to keep those games exclusive. Sure if GamePass subs would have picked up and console sales went up. We wouldn’t be hearing these rumors about 3rd party. To me it’s a no brainer straight 3rd party and they will be #1 is games and making a lot of money for share holders.
The No Return mode is worth 10$ alone.
I always thought if they were gonna attempt a GAAS then War Hawk was perfect. I know it could ruin the experience but if done right we’d have War Hawk again. I really miss that game.
@Lightning77
I think WarHawk would have been a great Live service game.
I think Sony should hand this over to bungie and say you remember Halo? Do that again with killzone.
Let’s be honest for a second. Starfield is just No Man’s Sky with a Skyrim story built in. Not saying it’s not a good game. It’s just been done before. This year was stacked with games. Something was bound to get left out.
Think about how much money and how many copies it would’ve sold if it wasn’t on Game Pass. They cut out a few million sales just by not being on PlayStation.
@obscure
You’re crazy if you think they’ll keep a game off of any platform if they move to a 3rd party publisher role. I mean that’s the goal of a publisher sell as many games as possible.
Insomniac pretty much made only PS games until they partnered with Xbox for 1 game. It made sense for them to be bought by Sony. Not the same thing as buying Publishers like MS.
@obscure
I may be wrong here but besides COD what new ip has blizzard Activision came out with? It’s like all the studios work to get COD out every year.
To me the problem came when they let Bungie try to completely monetize Factions as a GAAS. If they just put it out as planned the game would have been fine and we’d play it for however long then be done. I understand asking Bungie for advice but they should have left Factions out of it.
I’m still hoping for the original to be remade in the same fashion as 4. The older remake is hard to play.
To me this makes no sense. It’s on GamePass. Why not give out 3 months of GP instead?
@Eonjay
I don’t think people hated him. He was just more business oriented than past Heads. That doesn’t relate well with gamers.
The thing that is forgotten is now Sony owns the IP. They can take Destiny and make movies about the lore. It could end up being worth way more in the end. Not to mention all they need is for one of the GAAS to take hold. Then it becomes a cash machine. They can roll that money into new single player games that they are known for. Not to mention they got Bungie for 66B dollars less than the Activision deal. MS over paid for them.
I’m officially done with Microsoft and Xbox. I get exclusives. Every console has them. But when you take away games like elder scrolls which was on ps3 and ps4. Next will be fallout which has been established on all platforms. That’s totally different. If there is a Destiny 3 I promise it will be on Xbox and PC. The way Xbox is operating and the way that Phil talks is two different things. I can’t get behind that.
Xbox will just through money around like the soulless company they are.
@Obscure
How can you say rpg’s are a priority for Microsoft? I mean all they did was go buy every rpg studio. They didn’t make anything.
Why? Sony doesn’t need to give anything to MS. Hell they got all the money. They’re too big to fail. They just keep throwing money at Xbox hoping something will stick. Even if Xbox puts games on PlayStation. Sony gets 30% of every game sold on the store. That just further helps Sony. Besides Xbox only has a few games that I even like anyways. Gears and maybe one other. Would love to continue to play Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Since those games were multiplat anyways. Until MS bought everythi...
