Really cool concept, but so was Kinect. I wish companies wouldn't present things to the masses that aren't ready! Games are one thing but a totally new concept is another. If they come out and present this at e3 as ready to come out. When in reality it's still in development. If they present it as in development I'll have no problem with it!
If this is true and they make Scorpio exclusive games then that splits the fan base! That would be bad for business!
I think the Windows 10 integration is going to be a put off for some. There's a lot of people that don't want to upgrade to Windows 10. Especially in China and that's a huge market. I'm not particularly fond of Windows 10 myself. I just wonder how many people feel the same.

I'm just glad Sony didn't pull the plug! I don't know many other companies that would keep a project going that long! I believe that is one of sony's best qualities! They're more than likely gonna take a loss on the game but they know the fan base really wants it!
I feel like Xbox is going to price there console too high. Who knows they might sell them at a loss. Being at the point in the cycle that they start to harvest profit, I don't see them doing that.

The 6 tflops are an estimate. Could be less or more. Just like 4.2 flops for the neo. Could be less or more.
I'm a firm believer in first party studios. Sony has that wrapped up. All the third parties are gonna make the same game across all platforms. With the upgrades both consoles should be able to handle any games made. I think Sony possibly bringing out the neo this year is gonna be the decider.

Why is there so much talk about the neo being a mistake? If you thought they weren't going to come out with a console that was dedicated to the vr then you are crazy! That's all the new is. It will have 4K media play back with some sort of upscale to 4K for games. The added power is the vr processing box being added to the inside of the ps4. The neo is going to take place of the slim model that usually comes out around this time in a consoles life cycle. There is no way this is a bad...
I have to agree with bathyj. This upgrade is not that big of a deal. With the vr push this new upgraded console will probably have a dedicated port. The outer processor will probably be built in. That could be where the extra power is coming from. It just makes sense to make a more dedicated vr console. If your not playing vr then the extra power can go towards games. I think it's a good thing. Definitely not something to be mad about.
I will definitely be buying it. I always buy the slim model when it comes out. The slim models are usually a little better and slightly upgraded. I think this new console will have the processor for the psvr built in. That's probably the upgrade to the cpu/gpu that we're seeing. Other than that games will be able to run smoother. There really won't be a difference in how the games look. Just think back to the last of us remastered. The difference between 30 and 60 fps hardly noti...

Ok first off if this rumor is true it's only gonna be slightly more powerful than the ps4. That is so devs can easily hit 1080p 60fps on a consistent basis. The 4K is most likely for media use.
