Warhammer invented the space marine in a bleak gothic environment. The second I first saw Gears I immediately thought of Warhammer and Space Marines.
The first one was more Half Life than anything else.

Sweet! This is the only reviewer I actually trust with my money, so this is fantastic news. Think about it. If Pro Evo is crap, we still get an awesome game of FIFA this year. If Pro Evo is better than FIFA, then it will be unbelievably good. We can't lose.

And Madjedi, I'm not saying HDTV doesn't look better than SDTV, but I am saying that the scart cable that comes with a PS3 is utterly kack, so upgrading the cable improves the picture quality dramatically, to the point where an HDTV of the same size doesn't look that much better.
Upgrading the scart cable (from the one that comes with the PS3) makes a bigger difference than upgrading from an SDTV with good scart cable to an HDTV with HDMI.
I'm still playing happily on my 26" SDTV. One thing that makes a MASSIVE difference is getting a proper scart cable.

Starting to worry about the momentum. There's too much movement, the ball is flying about like crazy and the game is chaotic. It's like watching a game of playground football.
Some of the best moments in gaming were scripted. Half Life 2 is full of it.
Well the PSN is much less integrated into the games than XBL. XBL records every game. However, you don't need to be signed in to play a single player game on PS3. If your net goes out for whatever reason, so does your 360.
I don't think this guy gets it. WoW is dull. That's why people will pay other people to play it for them. That's why it's like a second job.
Don't argue with it. The average 360 user buys more games than the average PS3 user. The reasons? Achievements and Bluray.
Fable 2 is a massive game for me. Potentially the first truly great 360 exclusive.

I'd always thought that Gears' gameplay would be almost perfect for 40k, and it's great to see it happening. It's good that they're putting so much emphasis on close combat too, but this just looks like it will fall short of the mark. Gameplay seems unnatural, ai is terrible and the animations are very peculiar.
Then again this is in early development so you never know.
