Graphically it seems ok, and it seems to be more realistic gameplay than anything else (God of War is fun, but people can't move like that! lol). So as long as they keep up with dynamic gameplay rather than button mashing or combo hacks, and execute a gripping story, I'll be happy.
I mean, I'm getting a PS4 on launch complete with KZ, but I'm hoping that this game pans out be one of the greats as well.
Well, let's be fair here...
Polygon count and texture quality can be related, but they are inherently two different things. Comparing KZ's texture quality to Ryse's polygon count isn't necessarily 1 to 1.
Polygon count relates to GRAPHICAL quality sort of like pixels on a TV; more pixels (polygons in this case) means more detailed color space. Polygon count is more so a testament of how detailed a dynamic surface, like skin and clothes, can ...

@Pinky: Not necessarily... MS Store runs off of proxies that determine what region you are in. If you create a man in the middle, you'll still be obligated to download the prescribed apps, but it isn't hard to insert code to do whatever you want. MS's solution is likely to have everything run in a sandbox VM environment within the X1. Either way, it's using Hyper-V which is a big vulnerability. PS4 is also a hacker's delight being linux-based and all.

Well, let's be fair here.
MS's future-proof strategy hinged on their initial DRM plans, so that offloading would be a relatively simple process. I'd imagine they will eventually come out with a diskless X1 version at some point to resume that ideal. Problem is that their execs were idiots in marketing that out. In contrast, think about how often you see people actually buy physical PC games.
All in all, MS's network infrastructure is REALLY p...
It's more of a technical issue than a choice really. See most of the languages supported in computing have UTF-8 compliant counterparts. Arabic does not have such counterpart, so supporting it from a programming standpoint is very difficult, because most programming languages were developed in countries where the primary language is English. In this case, Arabic"-like" language support wouldn't be just a port, but rather its own development build complete with different codi...
They could do both pretty easily... And I think the system used in FFXIII was pretty good so as long as they provide support for using more than one character. Also, if they could nail down dynamic fight cinematics, it would be A+.
Yeah, I suppose so. We have the largest market with mediocre bandwidth. Basically equates to the lowest common denominator since this generation is seemingly going to focus on interconnectivity.
Holy crap! 90Mbps is freakin' ridiculous. For anyone that doesn't know what that translates to, that is about 10MB per second, which means it would take you all of about 2 days max to download KZ.

Yeah, but scale is an important aspect to keep in mind as well. Assuming that the game is 6-7 hours long, your still talking at least a 10GB download before you can play a level. That is unless they stream the game while downloading, but still that's a lot of bandwidth that would have to be used. In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out.
We can't deny though that the digital version will likely run like butter. Pulling from a hard drive is WAY faster than pulling from Blu-Ray. I wonder if you can control how much data gets installed. That would be cool.
I just hope the retail version warrants a full install. It's kind of hard to picture 50GB of smooth gameplay streaming from optical media. :/
Here's my TV... and my rack-mounted PS4 and storage server... just... for... Killzone...
LMAO
Seriously though, upgrading the PS4's hard drive seems inevitable. In fact, I've got a 1TB SSHD just waiting for it. The only thing I wish I knew was at what RPM the factory drives are coming in.

I think too much weight gets put into the current generation in regards to future predictions and influence on next-gen hardware and software features. Too often do we gamers neglect the fundamental concepts powering gaming technology.
Here's the key word: Virtualization
The Xbone (forgive the laziness; I actually like the name) is obviously a HEAVILY modified core version of Windows 8 running a specialized implementation of Hyper-V. On the PS4 side of ...

Ha! That's a given!
We can hardly wait! :)
If it's one thing that Bungie continuously shows, it's passion.
There's Beyond Two Souls... Chances are it was rejected by MS as well for having child soldiers, but it looks amazing, and it looks like the Kara character model was used for Ellen Page's character.
The Casting Call Tech Demo was the same way for Heavy Rain where the character was used, but not the story.
Here's the game site; check out the trailers.

Nah, don't think so unless they switch up the core programming language. Neither PS3 nor 360 doesn't have it either.

It's just an extremely hard language to program for because of the character set.
I'm getting a PS4 on launch.. with KZ!!!
And it's going to be SOOO much more fun than Ryse!!
lol
Seriously though, I know that CryEngine is CRAZY powerful, so I have no doubts that this game will run really well with superb graphics. The story is my main concern really; hopefully not another cliche "My family was killed, and now I want revenge"; more depth would be a nice change of pace for the button smashers. All in all, like I sai...
