Most of the titles on this list are multiplats and some aren't even that bad. Gonna go out on a limb and guess they're not aware that Lair vastly improved the controls by getting rid of the mandatory Sixaxis stuff. too.
They've also got HDN on here which... is not a terrible game at all. It's not incredible or stellar, but not terrible.
I believe they're going with FFXIV as there's less "story" and more "lore", which gives them much more freedom in their adaptation.

That's not necessarily true and is mostly Bulma's family.
Chi-Chi's name comes from bread, Launch's name is derived from Lunch, Mai's name, when combined with Shu's, is a play on Shumai, a dumpling. Android 18's real name is based on a precious gem. And so on.
Most of the characters' names are food puns, with the Saiyans primarily being Vegetable-based, the Ginyu Force being named after things found in the fridge or Freezer...
I don't think Strauss thinks anything beyond disgusting levels of monetization are necessary for games. Guy's a creep, as is the way he looks at players as ATMs just waiting to be tapped.
