I don't think they're laughing to the bank. I think it's why they broke silence early as opposed to Xbox riding on their release with no other console release in sight. They've intentionally isolated the largest chunks of their userbase and now it's gonna have an effect on them.

Speed Run Mode, Brutal Difficulty, Explorer Mode, tweaked the AI to be a bit more uniform across titles, tweaked gameplay mechanics to be universal, tweaked the aiming mechanic to be what they considered the "sweet spot" of aiming in the trilogy across all three titles, added Photo Mode to all three titles...
Huh, and nary a whisper about 60fps.

Except, it's not. No features are missing. It's a game mode that's missing.
And that game mode is being replaced by other game modes to give the SP more replay value and allow people to experience the story again before the release of Uncharted 4. It's the sole reason it exists.
