"plus the Command Processor is also designed to take a majority of the draw calls off of the CPU's shoulders"
Not even close to the majority. It will actually take smaller, more middling tasks off the CPU. But more advanced tasks DO still tax the CPU. Physics calculations, especially.
Worth pointing out: Cerny designed the PS4/Pro to do the same. You'll note that the benefits have enhanced games a good ...
Seems like some folks forgot the Scorpio is still using a slightly up-clocked Jag.
If the MS fanboys are gonna blame anything, Blame MS for rushing Scorpio out before they could truly upgrade to a better CPU.
They had a good last quarter, but their overall performance the last few years hasn't been too good.
The article's just saying Sega needs to maintain and build on their most recent return, and need to back up their attempt at remaking their image is all.
One might even say they're Masters of baiting.
...I'll see myself out.
"Nintendo is a rare exception in the modern era, since it keeps its blockbuster franchises locked to its platforms. Other than that, most video games come out on most video game platforms."
Uh... not really? They do it because they make a platform and the others don't. Same with Sony.
I'm actually not sure I wanna bother with the rest.
The content you still have to pay more for? lol
I love how literally no one pays attention to the "why".
They went for 4K because the GPU DOES have extra power. The CPU being a Jag is the issue because of the effects and physics.
You have no idea why that game got cancelled, do you?
It was literally MS's fault.
>Drove Insomniac away
>They literally made one game for another platform and worked with Sony again twice after
Dude... seriously. lol
Sony's not doing anything monopolistic in the industry. Proprietary IPs and devices is not a monopoly. Hell, they've actually helped fund games and studios that were going multiplatform. (Street Fighter V, Hello Games, helping Kojima's new studio get started, etc.) That's the opposite of a mo...
They actually make really good points in here... but starting off slamming services like Uber and Lyft? That's a bit of a reach for a related anecdote. And isn't really related.
I mean
He was in the last one so...
The Vita is actually doing well there but hey.
lmao now Framerate doesn't even matter...
Nintendo fans stay holding the industry back.
@Death
They announced in February they'd sold 915k units.

Coupled with this update, that number likely put them over one million sold.

T'aint zombies tho. These things aren't undead, they're alive, have a lifespan, reproduce, etc.
Then prove it wrong, dude. Should be simple.
Can we maybe wait for the game to come out before we declare what sort of impact it will or will not have on the industry?
Had a friend who was attending Star Wars Celebration this year. Was playing Persona 5 on his laptop being streamed all the way from his PS4 in New York.
So I'd say yeah.
You expect them to mass-produce and Bundle VR... at a LOSS?
Except, you know, all them times he got whupped.
