If they do, it's doubtful it would be through Insomniac. Insomniac would likely stick to Spider-Man and whatever other projects they want to work on concurrently. Any other license Sony might have access to would likely have to be handled by another studio.
Personally, I'd love to see Sucker Punch handle a Doctor Strange game, or SMS handle Captain America or Thor.
Yes, why would they want any of these characters to ever actually appear and do things when they can just stick landmarks and references in there?
Sony now has the Spider-Man Games License as well. Marvel Games confirmed the future of Spider-Man games was with PlayStation.
There's also nothing, not a thing out there, to indicate that this was part of that deal, by any stretch of the imagination. Sony wouldn't be getting exclusive merch profits AND exclusivity to the game license of their choice for a three-movie deal.

Never liked Iron Spider as it essentially reduced Peter to Tony Stark's sidekick in a time where Peter had been outshining Stark for years.
But at least the Infinity War version allowed him to retain more of his Spider-Man identity vs literally wearing Tony's colors.

I've only got three games on my Switch. Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, and Ys VIII. I was hoping to use GameFly to rent some more and buy any I liked, but I saw my options to be quite... limited.
If I'd known for sure I'd have had the money to get it later, I would have waited.
@SPTM The current "hotness" is apparently multiplayer Battle Royale and Hero Shooter titles. Third Person action is a staple, but it's hardly what's "hot" atm. In fact, a lot of TPA games don't sell half as much without multiplayer.
That said, to act as if these games don't have a distinct visual style is patently dishonest, and it's hilarious to me how you literally can't see the fact that people said the same about Nintendo game...

OK so... why does this offend you then? If it's a waste of time and money and almost none of these girls will be interested, then this will be a big bust, there will be no attendance, and nothing will come of it, which affects you... how, exactly?
OTOH, some young lady who'd never thought to try it before might actually find it fun and actually take it up as a career. Which, again, affects you... how? Other than potentially getting some great games someday, anyways....
QD would do great in making a game set in q world populated by Superheroes but where you play as the unpowered people IN said world and see how their lives are affected by this.
I don't really see them doing a hero in their preferred format.
